Huckabee Lauds Trump 2012 Bid, But Obama’s Birthplace ‘Not A Big Deal To Me’
Mediaite ^ | April 9, 2011 | Frances Martel

Mike Huckabee, the other possible GOP presidential candidate running in second place in the polls, visited Fox & Friends to talk about his new rival, Donald Trump, and it turns out Huckabee fully supports his presidential bid. Confirming that, yes, “he’s going to do it,” Huckabee argued that, while the birth certificate debate “was working for the Donald,” he didn’t intend to open that can of worms himself anytime soon. “I think he is a very interesting person,” Huckabee noted to host Steve Doocy, who highlighted the fact that Huckabee was tied with Trump in the polls. He also admitted to having a meeting with Trump, before which he didn’t see him as a realistic candidate, but “now I think he’s going to do it… This is not just something he’s just picking the tires about.”

So now that Trump is in it to win it, does Huckabee object to the debate over President Obama’s birth certificate, Trump’s main platform issue? Not really, but he wouldn’t swim in that pool. “It may be [smart] for him; it wouldn’t be for me,” Huckabee suggested.

“I’m less concerned with where he came from than where he’s leading us, and where hes leading us, I don’t like. Where he came from is not a big deal to me.”

Well, you had your chance, Huckster . . . twice. I think it's much more likely that Trump is the GOP nominee than Huckabee.

"...Where he came from is not a big deal to me......”

It SHOULD be, you who would aspire to lay a hand on the Bible and swear to defend the US Constitution. Jerk.

I’m sorry. Exactly what kind of Republican is interested in Huckabee doing any more than playing his bass with assorted semi-conservative musicians anyway?

Huckabee is very much NOT a big thing with me.

This is what happens when you allow shysters into a political party. This idiot is as big a shyster as Bubba Clinton.

Wow! Its one thing to think that the BC issue will go nowhere so lets ignore it, and quite another to say it doesn’t matter whether obama is eligible, and that he and his enablers committed massive fraud against the american people.

Gee Huck, does ANY of the Constitution matter to you?

Guess, Huckabee doesn’t give a flip about the Constitution. Maybe he thinks, his opinion is more important than our Founding Fathers reasoning!

I see what’s there. In Huckabee, I see a snake charmer. He’s very good at telling stories. He can be very charming. He’s got a lot of Biblical wisdom. And he’s very witty. That’s what I see in Huckabee. I do not see him as a Presidential contender, but I would love to see him as a White House Press Secretary telling David Gregory et al what to do with themselves in that sweet Southern way.

Trump got huge play by going birthing. It is fascinating to watch and I never thought much of the issue only for the fact that Obama gets away with hiding much of historical life, more so than any other presidential candidate. Where are his grades from college? Why has he spent millions in legal fees protecting this history unless he has something to hide? It just doesn’t make sense. No questions from the media? I say Go Trump - the media is too biased and sometimes we need media personalties like Trump to claim the emperor has no clothes.

AAAaarrrggghhh!!! It’s not “where he came from” or “where he was born”!! You freaking idiot.

It’s the fact that he is NOT a natural born citizen and is ineligible to hold the office of president.

Why do they refuse to acknowledge this simple fact? They all dodge and skirt the only issue.

People vote for him only because he’s a minister. This opinion of his about Obama’s BC tells the tale—he’s trying to be political so he can appeal to Blacks and others. He has less on the ball than Trump and as much moral courage as Obama. Go home Hunkster! You had your chance. The last time around you were terrible.

Huck views the Constitution like O’Illegal does. Not worth the paper it's written on. Buh-bye, Huck.

I agree about his not being NBC. But there has to be more to it than the NBC issue. That can be determined based on what everybody admits: Obama Senior was never a U.S. citizen. The so-called president is hiding something in his past that is not already common knowledge.

Yeah, it’s no big deal because the constitution is just an old piece of paper anyway, right Huck, you frickin’ idiot!
