We should have had a budget last fall, but the Dems said No then..

..instead, now the GoP will get drug thru the complicit mud for not doing more and earlier as the media reverse spins this latest charade to forestall a gubamint sutdown..

U.S. House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner (C) announces a budget deal in the Capitol in Washington April 8, 2011. Boehner said on Friday that a deal had been struck on funding the federal government for the rest of the fiscal year that ends on Sept. 30, ending fears of a government shutdown. Obama hailed the deal as “the biggest annual spending cut in history,” and House Speaker John Boehner said that over the next decade it would cut government spending by $500 billion.

These people are on DRUGS!I suggest people move out of this country quickly.

37 billion! LOL!!! That’s chump change during the era of Barry Soetoro! I guess the “Planned Parenthood” baby killers still get their money though, huh?

I don’t believe Boehner, Reid, or Obama. The American people have repeatedly voted for failed “leadership.” They are to blame.

So they think this fight is going to be any easier in the 2012 budget year?

Absolutely critical that they put this 2012 with a few trillion in cuts on Obama’s desk as soon as possible. This one better be a take it or leave it.

They can’t spend jack without the Reps writing the appropriation or putting it in the budget.

I am with the Pauls, 30 years is too long, we need to get this debt crisis nipped in the bud. We should do this in less than 10 years or we will be at least a Japan and we could be a Portugal.

I got a feeling the GOP isnt popular here tonight, they are complaining about it at DU too.

My thoughts is that it’s nothing as bad as when TARP was passed, but it’s still a crappy deal for us.

The House repubs can kill this thing next week...or tonight. Boehner should never have gone for “the best deal he could get.” He should have shut the thing down.
If they were willing to “give” here over an extra 20 billion, then they will never have the grit it takes to force the 6.8 trillion.

If the House repubs do not go for the deal in enough numbers, then the shutdown will occurr and Boener’s days as speaker will be over. They will try and talk them into going along, but the Freshmen/Tea party repubs need to vote a definitive, “No”, IMHO.

The American people wanted reps who wil stand firm...it is what they voted for IMHO in 2012. Bohner should have stood firm for the entire 61 billion at the very least, and made sure Palnned Parenthood was defunded.

$37 billion

I'm pretty sure that's about one day's spending.

They just blew any future deficit reduction agenda items. What a bunch of spineless morons. Boehner HAS to go. And the rest who voted for this too.
