Just wondering if this could cause energy to build up elsewhere, like off Oregon/Washington?

Maybe Nov 2, 2008 was the beginning of the end of the world.
Well, we know it was for the U.S.A.

A Mashiach? Don’t bother waiting or praying for one. Be one. Scary it is to try, but be one. Save one good deed. Open one heart.
Still, you are proper to note the coincidence.

There are greater forces at work on the Cascadia. The distances involved (plus having to pass through a spreading center) would attenuate the forces released to a level that would have no significant influence off Oregon/Washington.
That doesn’t let WA/OR off the hook, Cascadia is set to rip off a mag 9 quake in the near future.

You’re correct. The Tsunami warning has been cancelled.

Relax and find tranquility. Save panic for peaceful days in the summer when a bee tries to sting. Be strong, for all good people are with you in spirit, and many in deeds.

Figgered. Japan has automatic warnings to speed the safety of its citizens up. Not bad considering the history, but still needs people evaluation to gauge the actual severity.

My opinion Edgar Cayces earthquake predictions are off (late) by a generation. And just half or less will pan out Keep in mind that the sort of events he predicted would be many orders of magnitude more energetic than the asteroid that killed off the dinosaurs 65 million years ago. Here's a map someone made based on what Cayce predicts North America will look like a year from now.
It's patently absurd, but Cayce was a charlatan, not a scientist.

According to expert on CNN, it is from the same area as the 9.0 quake and at 7.1 is considered an aftershock. Aftershocks can go on for 6 months or more.

We will probably hear from the Prime Minister on TV soon live, I suspect. It is 1 a.m. Friday a.m., and a workday for most people tomorrow. So there will be long faces tomorrow. But still, people will recover, say "shoganai" (it cant be helped) and continue on with life.
All I recommend is that everyone in Japan have their security plan worked out and their emergency supplies all in order. I recommend avoiding CNN like the plague, and if possible, getting "NHK World" live, streaming on wwitv.com, with the English voice over. It will give specifics, rather than just Western tabloid hype.

7.3 30 miles deep? I’m not pulling the mandatory evacuation for this, heck with it.
