I’ve always found the most interesting aspect of this photo to be that Barry’s wearing a wedding ring...in [purportedly] 1981.
It’s also visible in some of the Occidental time-frame “Look at me, I’m a pothead” photos.
And in the large group family photo during his first trip to Kenya.
In all of those photos, it really looks just like the wedding ring he wears now - or does from a distance. Too bad there has not turned up a closeup of the pre-Michelle ring; closeups of the one he wears now show it to be an intricately carved semi-wide band. IIRC it has Indonesian figures carved into it.
I don’t have a link - sorry - but within the past few months I saw this same photo somewhere on the web, with the wedding band photoshopped out, leaving his hand rather gnarled-looking. Perhaps too many people had been noticing the ring? Another “oopsie”?
