Donald Trump Political Donations: Might as well start here:
Charlie Rangel (D-NY): 2006 $10,000 Yes, he of corruption, tax evasion, and mass liberalism
Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) $12,000 Total, $2,000 in 2006 Re-election
Harry Reid: Donated $4,800 in 2010 to Reid to defeat Sharon Angle. $10,400 to Reid overall
Chuck Schumer: Donated $4,000 during 2010 Election Cycle
Kirsten Gillibrand: $5,800 over past 2 cycles
Ted Kennedy: $7,000
John Kerry $5,500 ($2,000 in 2004 Pres race, which he also gave Bush $2,000. How bi-partisan!)
Democratic Senatorial Committee: $116,000 (versus $30K to GOP equivalent)
Abortion:
Donald Trump Then: I support a womans right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban. From his 2000 book.
I believe it is a personal decision that should be left to the women and their doctors When he last considered running for President in 2009.
Donald Trump Now: As you know, Im pro-life Im forming an opinion, Im forming a very strong opinion but Ill let you know in about three or four weeks if I decided to.
Thats comforting, he will let us know in 3 or 4 weeks what his reformed views on abortion are.
Taxation: Forget raising taxes, Trump wanted to tax, at 14.25% the net wealth of the evil rich. Money that was already taxed. Of course, he played the Im raising taxes on myself card to prove his selflessness. (Ironic given his inability to settle his own debts ) His 1999 plan:
Raise $5.7 trillion to erase the nations debt and save $200 billion in annual interest payments Use the savings to save Social Security and slash taxes for the middle class Increase his personal tax bill by at least $725 million.
Healthcare,: Im a conservative on most issues but a liberal on health. It is an unacceptable but accurate fact that the number of uninsured Americans has risen to 42 million. Working out detailed plans will take time. But the goal should be clear: Our people are our greatest asset. We must take care of our own. We must have universal healthcare. Our objective [should be] to make reforms for the moment and, longer term, to find an equivalent of the single-payer plan that is affordable, well-administered, and provides freedom of choice. Possible? The good news is, yes. There is already a system in place-the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program-that can act as a guide for all healthcare reform. It operates through a centralized agency that offers considerable range of choice. While this is a government program, it is also very much market-based. It allows 620 private insurance companies to compete for this market. Once a year participants can choose from plans which vary in benefits and costs.
Here is your Republican Nominee. If you choose to have him.
Except we have two advantages they 92ers didn’t have, 1) rapid dismantling of disinformation via social media, and 2) hindsight via Perot. If ever we needed to learn from our mistakes, it is right now.
A glory-seeking celebrity pro-abortion socialist heavy donor to the worst left-wing dregs of the Democrat Party.
The perfect candidate for today’s Stupid Unprincipled Party.
That’s fine. The Whigs need company. It’s lonely on the ash heap of history.
Trump is the first person who draws any water in America who’s had the cajones to say what needs to be said about having an illegal alien in the whitehouse.
Ain’t it the truth. So disappointing to see so many FReepers stumbling all over themselves to line up behind Donald “The Beauty of Me” Trump. What a dark comedy this has become.
“Trump the ma vs. Trump the businessman. Most businesses give money to both candidates from both political parties. So what?”
Because he gives ALMOST ALL OF HIS MONEY TO DEMOCRATS, not “both political parties”

bigbob don’t be such a fool. Trump is a liar and a cheat.
For me its about beating obama. The 100 percenters would rather lose and complain than win and send obama back to kenya. No thanks.
If trump can beat obama - I’m on board, warts and all.
But we could nip at each others’ heels lie angry Chihuahua’s for a while then look up and see the One taking his second oath of office.
What flavor of Kool Aid is Journ-o-list passing out this week?
“Raise $5.7 trillion to erase the nations debt and save $200 billion in annual interest payments Use the savings to save Social Security and slash taxes for the middle class Increase his personal tax bill by at least $725 million. “
This is a brilliant plan!
*************************
What you omit is that wealth above $10 mm would be taxed at 14.25-15.00% IN LIEU OF PAYING THE DEATH TAX.
He is offering the wealthy to pre-pay their death tax at a lower rate that it would likely be taxed in the future (net present value theme).
This is the best idea yet to improve our balance sheet.
So lets get this straight. I'm NOT a "100 percenter." That is a willful and gross mischaracterization of my position. I'll vote for any good conservative candidate, regardless of warts. But I won't vote for a known wolf in sheep's clothing, and I urge you to reconsider your position. We need to get behind a real conservative this one time, or we lose the game. Period.
Yawn - let me guess - sarah, bachmann, west, cain or bust?
Your list is woefully incomplete, and inaccurate in the last item. There is no “bust.” I won’t vote for communists, gangsters, or baby-killers, but that still leaves a lot of people to choose from. I simply refuse to drop the notion that we’re not just choosing between two different team jerseys, but we’re actually trying to pick and seat to power the person best qualified to preside over our constitutional republic. If you go into the game buck naked except for one qualification, “he’s not Obama,” does that make you a “one-percenter?”
I would vote for Madoff / Vandersloot 2012 over obama if given the choice.
You are a 1-percenter then. OK. At least you’re honest about it.
Peace,
SR
No bub, in yours...
“Most businesses give money to both candidates from both political parties.”
Something must be lacking in their brains to give to libDems, who are TERRIBLE for business.
And that’s not all Trump did. Did you not read the OP?
