Or a show with Dennis Miller would be sweet...

When Beck sticks to his chalkboards he provides an invaluable and very educational service.

Agreed. He's literally brought millions up to speed in the last two years.

He's done his job well. Now things can move forward... unless there's yet another parachute that needs to open first.

Can't risk a fingernail now, can we?

LOL

Butch Cassidy: What's the matter with you?

Sundance Kid: I can't swim.

Butch Cassidy: Are you crazy? The fall will probably kill you!

Me too Mozilla. Not sure if we will get the information he was giving. And it needs to see the light of day. I find it just sad.

I just hope to be a part of it.

I wondered if you might have a bit of an inside scoop on the "Beck" news. I'm guessing it's going to be history focused and you are going to be involved somehow?

I watch BOR nightly and he is turning on Obama. His guests, like Dennis Miller, speak to the truth and I think Miller is the genuine article. I also like listening to Morris, who is right about half the time. I also like some of the women who appear, like Megan Kelly, who is a breath of fresh air. If you can get past BOR some of the guests make the show.

As for Hannity, his show is the same and I find him quite boring.

OK I’ll give him a viewing tonight but I will never watch Hannity again after he showed him being a coward

I heard him on the radio today, not sure about on TV tonight. What did he do about being a coward?

will not talk about social issues or even inform us of what the left is doing in the schools, the homosexuals agenda etc.

Some of us around here and those on here have tried and tried to get in touch with Hannity and asked him to talk or inform about don’t ask.

He will not ever talk about good traditional conservative issues.

He then states he is for us but he was no where when we all wanted a voice about don’t ask and how this was all pushed on us.
He will never let anyone talk about those issues. Try and call tomorrow and tell the screener that you want to raise the issue of homosexuals having sex in the street or pushing their agenda in the schools etc.

I guarantee that you will not be allowed and be told they are not discussing that issue or abortion or how planned parents hood is killing babies etc

The sad part is that the majority want to know about he schools, how their social agenda is ruining this country and he will not discuss it.
It’s always about debt, health care etc which is fine but there is more ot being a conservative than fiscal matters unless he’s a Libertarian

It is my understanding that Beck was asked to leave because he could no long keep his mouth shut on the birther issue and it was in his contract not to talk about it.

As one who knows Glenn a little, and talked to him just a couple of weeks ago, I can tell you he has given this a LOT of thought and planning, and is no “silly move.” While the total viewership might not be what he had at his peak in Fox, he will structure something that in fact will be more lucrative than ever. I just hope to be a part of it.

Thanks for that "inside info" from Glenn, FRiend.

I have to admit, I've been busy/traveling/distracted over the past couple of weeks. What exactly is the bottom line on what Glenn will be doing?

Saw him on O'Reilly earlier tonight, and all I heard was a bunch of jokes between the two of them. From what I could understand, Glenn will be continuing his daily radio show, expanding his online presence (?), but I'm not clear on what he will be doing on TV. First he said he's staying with Fox News and will "develop specials and other programs", then I hear O'Reilly say that "Glenn is leaving Fox".

Exactly what is going on?

Personally, I'm distressed that Glenn won't be on Fox News five days a week, continuing with his excellent show. His "history lessons" - with guests like you - were the absolute best IMO.

I hope he doesn't plan to do all his videos via the internet... he's going to lose a huge segment of his current audience - senior citizens who adore Glenn, like my mother and in-laws - who will never be internet savvy. They in particular are really going to miss Glenn's daily 5pm show. There were thousands of seniors from all over the US who were motivated to become active politically and travel to Washington DC on 9/12/09 and on 8/28/10 because of Glenn's influence via the Fox News Channel.

I am livid with this news. Beck is the most important voice on television. The real truth and education is gone from television now....what a scary f-cking day this is for the U.S.A.

I agree, MFH. I don't understand why Beck is doing this at a time when our country needs him most. I'm also not clear what exactly he's going to be doing after he "leaves Fox", other than continue with his radio show. If he goes 100% internet, he's going to lose huge segments of his current audience, particularly loyal seniors who will never be internet savvy.

Glenn has hinted that he's still going to be at Fox News (doing specials or something), then others like Bill O'Reilly are claiming that Glenn is "leaving Fox". What is going on??

This is from NO "inside information" at all, just my hunch:

a DAILY tv show is a helluva grind. Why do you think Rush left, despite the late hour? You have to always be there. You can't take a "golf day" every couple of weeks. Unlike radio, you can't do it when you have a bad cold or the flu. You have to look good, even when you don't feel good. Radio hides a lot.

Glenn has had a ton of health problems, and I'm sure the grind plays into that.

Remember he has TWO daily preps, which is an incredible workload, regardless of how many staffs you have. I don't know how Hannity does it, either.

I think GB would like to do "specials," in the old Edward R. Murrow Reports kind of thing, with his excellent video staff. That would require a slight change of attitude by Fox, which I guess he's worked out, because normally they do NOT do traditional "news specials." (they should).

Everyone in the television, movie, and recording industry is desperately trying to get ahold of the new media/new distribution models where traditional theaters and television viewing is declining. . I don't know if GB has it right---Oprah apparently didn't---but sooner or later, someone will and it might as well be GB.
