Time Magazine's Joe Klein: Qur'an-burning an "act as murderous as any suicide bomber's"

Jones, of course, killed no one. Suicide bombers kill as many people as they can for Allah. But Joe Klein is by no means alone in assuming that Muslims cannot control themselves and respond to insult with anything but threats and murder, and thus cannot be held responsible for their own actions. He thus reveals again the multicultural Left's bigotry and ethnocentrism. "Joe Klein Reserves Spot in Hell for Koran-burning Pastor Who's As 'Murderous' As 'Suicide Bombers,'" by Ken Shepherd for NewsBusters, April 4 (thanks to James):
Burning a copy of the Koran is morally equivalent to flying a plane into the World Trade Center and equally eternally damnable.
That's essentially the fatwa of Time magazine's Joe Klein in an April 1 blog post at the magazine's Swampland blog.
Klein was condemning Florida pastor Terry Jones's "trial" and subsequent burning of a Koran which allegedly have sparked a murderous rampage against UN workers in Afghanistan last week:
[T]here should be no confusion about this: Jones's act was murderous as any suicide bomber's. If there is a hell, he's just guaranteed himself an afterlifetime membership.

Nachum, this is akin to blaming a rape victim for being attacked. They can't control themselves. It's
our fault that they act this way. As I've said, burn a Bible and I guarantee that you would not see massacres, riots, etc. They have always acted this way.
Regards.

Joe The Coward is ready to lick the feet and kiss the butt of all muslims who threatens violence if Joe doesn't behave as they want.

Yes indeed. He is merely bringing out their true nature.

This author has escaped from the looney bin again. What is it about a Democrat that their mind goes crazy?

Was Joe Klein drunk when he wrote that? That’s the only explanation that makes any sense...

historically speaking, having a remarkable penchant for talking themselves into ovens. You are way out of line. That is a horrible statement to make.

Don’t you just love it when metrosexual men become drama queens?
I fear that this is becoming the majority of American men east of the Missippi and north of the Mason-Dixon line.
Certainly not the case in Northern Idaho.
What say you, Freepers?

Refresh my memory please. When did Jews crash planes into out buildings? When did they last set off a car bomb, killing Americans? Please educate me.

With that logic the United States deserved 911 because we offended Al Qaeda by keeping troops on Holy Ground in Islamic Arabia.

What’s bad is that some FReepers have been agreeing with this type of BS thinking. I would guess they are DU plants or just stupid, but I repeat myself.

"Burning a copy of the Koran is morally equivalent to flying a plane into the World Trade Center and equally eternally damnable."Nobody is ever condemned to hell for their personal sins, Joe. That's what God's Word communicates to those who hear it.
It can be argued that in some situations, burning the Koran, for people like Joe, simply helps clear out the fodder, which confuses those who don't know the Word.
Before Joe too quickly judges God, he might want to read the Bible, also known as Scripture, so he might be able to hear His Word, so he can discern between the real and the counterfeit.
Until Joe reads the Bible, he's just ignoring God, befitting the adjective, 'ignorant'.

There are plenty of non-Jewish people pandering to these Muslims. I’m not Jewish, but have never been bothered by them.
To: Nachum
So who stirred things up?
From the WSJ:
"Most Afghans learned about the Quran burning in Florida only when Mr. Karzai on March 24 (4 days after!) condemned the act as "a crime against the religion and the entire Muslim nation," called on the U.S. and the U.N. to bring the perpetrators to justice and demanded "a satisfactory response to the resentment and anger of over 1.5 billion Muslims around the world."
General Petraeus has certainly won Karzai's heart and mind. /s
You would think that having our female troops wear muslim hijabs instead of K-pots would have been enough to placate them.

And one of the delightful stories out of Libya today was about Ghaddafi's forces retaking a town from the rebels and destroying a mosque that had been a rebel headquarters.
I guess the lesson is that if you want to burn a Koran or destroy a mosque, just make sure you get a Muslim to do it.
