Didn't we learn this in Iraq TWICE, in Afghanistan, etc That Air Power alone CANNOT win wars. Ohhh...I forgot, this isn't a war!

You would have thought that once in Vietnam would have been enough.

The kinetic military action is having the effect of humilating the United States. That was at least one of the desired effects. Getting rid of Gaddafi and empowering Al Qaeda would have been nice from Obama’s point of view, but as long as he can bring us down a peg he's making progress toward his most cherished goal.

Action creates reaction. Libyan tribes as pissed with NATO suport to AQ. AQ a.k.a. "Rebels" are facing wall of fire from armed civilians in every town, that's why they flee.
That's what happens when the prospect of looting worth hundreds of billions mix with faulty intel.
It's Welcome to the hotel Libya for NATO.

The Obama administration and the MSM continue with the strategy of hope. The hope we get lucky and win this thing. They hope the rebels pull it together. They hope Khadhaffi steps down. They hope NATO gets lucky. The hope no NATO troops die.
Nice strategy.

The attacks on Qadaffi's artillery and armor have stopped.
The AC 130's and A-10s have been withdrawn. NATO is not flying the missions. Something weird going on. This place is a sandbox, anything in the open is an easy target. Artillery batteries are the work of 10 seconds to the AC 130.

Obama said it was a humanitarian mission and that he wouldn't do anything that might actually prove effective. Maybe, for once, he told the truth. Weird indeed.

Anybody have an idea what that weird cylinder shaped rocked launcher with the conical top that appears in a bunch of shots from there today is? Looks like something transplanted from a Soviet helicopter to a truck bed.

The rebels held their second anti-NATO demonstration today. Seems they want NATO to do more. Well, yeah, when the mission is to save civilians and the fighting is in the middle of the civilian population, being ineffective is pretty much guaranteed. We have managed to save twenty civilians from losing their lives to the regime, though, by killing them ourselves.

In a lone bright spot for the rebel government, a tanker capable of carrying a million barrels of oil was headed to a port near the city of Tobruk near the Egyptian border, The Associated Press reported. With oil prices pushing past $100 a barrel, the cargo could exceed $100 million in value. Should I concluded from this the rebels have control over the flow of oil, and have enough status to get paid millions for it by foreigners? - Tom
