It’s a bit like a supermarket manager dying of starvation or a bottled-water distributor dying of thirst: In the U.K., a former National Health Service (NHS) director died while waiting for medical care — at her own hospital. The Daily Mail reports:

I wonder how she(her soul, that is)feels now about government run medical care and death panels. "Socialized medicine" will be a disaster for "we, the people." Government will own US, lock, stock, and barrel. There is a reason that the socialists consider the socialization of medical care to be the "capstone" of the arch of socialism.

For those of us eligible for VA care, VA care is a window into the future of government run medical care.

It would by funnier if he was to be buried in a town called Irony-on-Thames or something

The MSM will never report this. Freepers — send this story to the usual folks...someone with a national audience needs to cover this.

But there are no death panels, and anybody who says there are is a racist!

Hey, at least the death panels were fair.

VA care is better than Bummercare would be, because it still has a robust private system to shore it up. Bummercare will abolish the private system.

Liberalism is insanity. To be honest, she probably feels her life was a worthwhile sacrifice to "the greater good". or some such nonsense. That's how they really think.

Socialized Healthcare is ‘free’ but you just have to wait to get your fair share of treatments. It’s just too bad that disease does not observe those same fair share rules as well. Disease must be further taxed and punished for disobeying government rules for fairness and equality standards. /sarc

If “bummercare” will abolish the private system, how will a “robust private system” be around to back up VA care? Just asking.

Also, in my experiences with VA care, I haven’t seen any evidence of the private system support-where is it? Again, just asking. Other than the potential of being “in extremis” and having to visit the local ER while waiting on VA care, I don’t know where it would be; or, maybe you refer to the VA hospital staffs who are generally VA employees or local medical school staff/students.

That’s true, the whole shebang will go down the toilet. But that’s beside the point. “VA right now” isn’t a picture of Obamacare. It’s a picture of what everybody will wish Obamacare was when (if) Obamacare takes over.

You are correct, in our local conservative group (TEA Party & preparedness) one of the members has a nice, 4,000 SF house in a great neighborhood in my town, it’s probably $1.5MM or so and houses 6 children and their parents.

She has a family member, a self-presecribed “Progressive” who said “No one should live in a house like this, you should not use so much energy” and the Government should own this property, allowing families of the poor to live here, as they have nothing.

The Liberals really think that, they really have such a guilt complex of America’s running water, electricity, food and internet that some truly want to be lower middle class (at best) and allow the Government to run everything they do with the all-knowing bureaucrats calling the shots.

You cannot argue with suicidal maniacs or people who advocate their nation’s genocide.

This would depend on where the VA center is sited. For some random examples, in Chicago, the VA shares physicians with well regarded Loyola. In Nashville (Tennessee), it’s Vanderbilt. In Lexington (Kentucky) it’s the University of Kentucky hospital.

You won’t see this in mainstream media. Pass it along. It needs as much facetime as the guy that just announced his run for pre-sent again.

Then why in the hell do they continue to do it. This is what I don’t understand.

I’m back at the VA since I stopped working and no longer have insurance. I know that if I have another heart attack I probably won’t make it.
