If General Petraeus truly did urge the government to ban quran burning, then I have an issue with the General. I respect him I admire him. He’s a patriot. But he’s wrong that the government needs to intervene. I don’t see him speaking out about the ROE that are endangering the safety of our troops. Ones as dangerous as the other, IMHO.

I haven’t served. So I will accept correction on that last point.

Are you forgetting this is the same General who ordered that Bibles be burned so as not to offend the muzzies? This is the same General who supports the repal of DADT - therefore supports having gays in the military.

Eff this jack-off. He should be relieved of command.

I have lost any respect for the man. NOt only for attempting to restrict free speech in the USA to appease the muslim fanatics.

But worse, for "going native" to the extent that it's now policy for female troops in Afghanistan to wear the muslim head scarf, instead of the kevlar helmet.
