My maternal Grandparents put a birth announcement in the Akron Beacon Journal, and my paternal Grandparents put an announcement in both the Cleveland Press, and the Plain Dealer. I don’t even know if my arrival was heralded in the Alexandria papers. But it should have been !
Exactly - when I go to renew my passport I think I’ll just take a photocopy of the newspaper announcement of my birth instead of my birth certificate. If it’s good enough for O’Reilly it should be good enough for the passport office
