(CNN) -- Violence is escalating in the west African nation of Ivory Coast, where president-elect Alassane Ouattara is trying to oust incumbent Laurent Gbagbo, who refused to leave office after losing an election.
But the international response -- limited to a U.N. peacekeeping force already deployed there -- has paled by comparison with the U.S. and NATO air strikes targeting forces to Moammar Gadhafi in Libya to prevent attacks on rebels and civilians.

For those who want a quick summary of CNN's "Explainer", as they call it, here it is:
We’re not protecting Libyan civilians. We’re protecting Libyan oil.
Ivory Coast hasn’t any.
McCain - “Let’s bomb, bomb, bomb Ivory Coast”

The UN “peacekeepers” in the Ivory Coast have no authority to intervene in the Muslim genocide of Christians. Not only that but the US/EU has already taken sides with the Muslims.
I’m sure things will change once “Big Cocoa” starts contributing to Obama’s re-election campaign...
;-)
Not only that, but Gbagbo is the elected president, but Alassane Ouattara stole the election from him. Ivory Coast is a Christian nation, but the Muslims have been moving in on it from the North. And now the Muslim killers are being helped by the UN.
There IS a resemblance between these two countries. The usual suspects are helping fanatical Muslim rebels take over both countries. Only the UN is leading one effort, and NATO and Obama are leading the other.
We are in a seriously bad mess here, with Muslim fanatics about to take over possibly dozens of countries throughout northern Africa and the Middle East. And the UN is eagerly helping them do it.
The UN is helping to protect the Christians in Ivory Coast? They certainly aren’t doing a good job of it, since their Muslim buddies just murdered a thousand of them right under their noses.
As you point out, Muslims from north of Ivory Coast have noticed that Ivory Coast has cash flow from exports of stuff. They come in to become a voting majority so they can seize the wealth (much like our issue with illegals now starting to be a major voting bloc in the South West.)
Holder’s people are massacring Christians again. Take what CNN international says, and believe exactly the opposite.
Aren’t the UN ‘peacekeepers’ unarmed? And of course they cannot take sides.
I’m wondering if the UN will intervene in the USA if Obama refuses to leave office when his birth certificate surfaces and he is found to be ineligible to be President or declares the 2012 elections to be null and void and sets himself up as dictator?
He can't wait to not be President anymore so he can tour the world's golf courses and have his third autobiography written for him.
Presidenting is hard.
Only shows me that the Dems view the CBC as step and fetchits for power.
The islamists are eradicating Christianity from the face of the Earth and we watch it happen. The end of this century only one will survive. What side are you on Mr. president?
If I run out of Hershey’s chocolate syrup for my chocolate milk, the violence is going to escalate. I need my chocolate milk. I want my chocolate milk.
If my wife can`t get her Quad -venti-mocha....there will be hell to pay !
Usually needs one after returning from the range.
I too have my doubts that he wants a second term. The pension doesn't get any better.
Even if Oattara had won the election, which he didn’t, he still couldn’t be president because he isn’t a citizen. He constitutionally isn’t eligible. The UN is trying to force Ivory Coast to accept him and to give voting rights to foreigners who have migrated into the country over the years.
Sound familiar?
So you have the Christian/Muslim element and you have the globalists trying to define who is and who isn’t a citizen of a country. Not to mention, trying to dictate the election laws of the country.

And I thought the U.S. had problems!
I smell Soros....
