...most of the front page news you will see is about a loony Pastor of a small Florida Church burning a Koran…..Bizarro World I tell you. I wonder what the Obama doctrine says about this? At least 1,000 Christians were slaughtered this week in at the Salesian Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus mission in Duekoue, Ivory Coast by Muslim troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara. The state-run media has been slow to report the story.
The conflict in Ivory Coast began in 2002. The country is divided between the Muslim north and Christian south. This is a conflict that has been brewing for years.<,p> Troops loyal to Alassane Ouattara, the Muslim opposition leader, moved south this past week. They slaughtered 1,000 civilians in Duekoue last week. The victims were mostly men who were shot as they fled the city. Business Week reported:
"…The International Committee for the Red Cross said its staff discovered more than 800 bodies of people who were clearly local civilians. They were mainly men who had been shot and left where they fell, the organisation said, either alone or in small groups dotted around the town, which lies at the heart of Ivory Coast’s economically crucial cocoa producing region.
"... Thousands of people left their homes to escape the fighting and an estimated 40,000 sought refuge in a nearby Roman Catholic mission’s compound. The priests who operate it are running short of food, clean water and medical equipment to treat those they say arrived with gunshot wounds.
"The bodies are thought to be of those who did not reach sanctuary in time. They were killed despite 200 United Nations troops operating what it said were “robust” patrols from its base on the outskirts to protect civilians in and around the church."

They are Christians and the Ivory Coast has no oil. How much outrage has there been over the massacres and the Coptic church burnings in Egypt? To the UN and Obama, Christian lives are cheap. Muslim lives and the Koran are to be protected at high cost and any slight to the Muslims is to be decried loudly.

You tube is literally chock full of Koran burnings(international as well as I saw a german translation being burned) and desecrations and yet they want to blame some guy in Florida for causing mischief....Conservatives are being set up as the fall guy for all the evils in the world. Karzai was playing his own political game by shoring up his sagging popularity by playing the religious hate angle. The fact that there is no international outrage for all the you tube koran desecrations while the whole world seems to hate Terry Jones right now suggests that powers of a much higher order shall we say spiritual have gotten involved....nuff said!

Congratulations. You won my rhetorical question contest. No one cares about these people, no one documents their deaths, because they are Christians. In the world view of the media, and of OUR government THEIR LIVES DON’T COUNT. And neither do ours.

The UN doesn’t really care if a few thousand Christians are slaughtered, as long as they don’t get any bad publicity. They will expect the press and the politicians to cover for them as they help these Muzzie murderers take over the Ivory Coast.
Where is the outrage of the international worldwide Christian community? Are they still singing songs “Jesus loves you”? Why the crickets?
