Then, on Thursday, prosecutors called Bonds' orthopedic surgeon to the stand.

Go Barry Go!!!

It’s so nice that our government has fixed all of our problems that they can go after baseball players.

I wish I was on that jury. I would find Mr. Bonds not guilty of whatever crime the government wants to think he has committed. There are far, far, far more important problems that the government should dealing with than enforcing the rules of baseball.

that’s the same type of defense the Democrats used to defend Clinton

if you lie under oath in court or to Congress you should go to jail.. period

A President is a little more important than a ball player.

I don’t care what evidence they think they have. If I were on the jury, I would acquit. What a stupid waste of time. Where is the Grand Jury against super-traitor Sandy Berger? Why does Mumia-Abu Jamal still breathe? Disgusting.

I agree. Put me on the jury and I’ll find the prosecutor guilty of flushing taxpayer funds down the toilet.

He supposedly lied in ...2003! We’re broke and the government is spending $5+ million to prosecute him for a stupid lie.

Bull$#it.

There are certain things that Congress should have no right to pursue.

And Individual Criminal Cases masquerading as the public good is one of them.

If Conservatives want to allow Congress to be a judge and jury, instead of making laws, then this country is finished.

Congress is not part of the judiciary. They are not part of the executive (where prosecutions come from). Congress has determined that they will hold hearings into private matters, but that doesnt mean they should.

If Congressmen can lie on the floor and it be legal, then why cant citizens?

It’s a well known fact that ALL skinny, 170 pound ball players become 230 pound home run hitters when they move out of Pittsburgh.
