Amazing, the writer managed to not use the word election in his story.
Win or lose, Senator Kapanke will always know he did what he thought was right. And, that’s all that matters.
"Sign here and we won't use this bat on your kneecaps."
Why can’t the GOP return the favor in districts that had close elections of Rats?
Where are the recall petitions for the Dems who fled the state?
Not even one?
So Wisconsin: are you going to let the Unions force you into serfdom?
Meanwhile the fleebaggers have no idea what is about to hit them.
Why waste time on a recall with an election coming up?
Lucas PenzeyMoog, a University of Wisconsin Madison student
I guarantee you those signatures were the best they could do and they will fail in their recall.
So, if the election doesn’t go the way you wanted; you can just RECALL everyone who was elected that you didn’t like - even when they’re doing what those who elected them wanted?
I predict many of the Democrat signatures will be thrown out for duplicity and because many of the signatures were from inelligible voters/falsified signatures.
No Lucas, the petition is just the first step in the recall process, not the last. When you graduate from high-school and start voting you'll understand this a little better.
How about all the conservative members of the legislative body just telling the people of the state “Hey, we’re tired of working our ass off to save you from yourselves. We are resigning and you can replace us with those who feel the way you do. We’ll be waiting in wings for you to come crawling to us once you’ve seen firsthand just now destructive it is to run a government the way you all think we should. Sure, it sounds good, and might even look good on paper. But it simply doesn’t work. Just look around you. You’ve had us busting our butts to fix the problems you all have brought on the state and even now you don’t get it. Well, tell you what, you go ahead and have full control and let’s see how well that works out for you.”
And then just sit back and wait until they have no choice but to listen to those who know why it’s not working!
I would ask the person who would replace him if he too would run away?
Here’s the 3 “vulnerable” Dems:
No/little chance:
Robert Wirch won big.

Jim Holperin is vulnerable.

Hansen won by 2 to 1.

Our guys look a lot more vulnerable than the Dems. Hopper won by a hair. Is there some sense of likely voters switching big time against Dems and for Republicans?
This is the last line of defense. If they succeed in recalling these senators and retake control of the senate, they win.
Since the court has ruled the law is not lawful the governor should simply start laying off people.
