A new Rasmussen poll shows that now 57% of Americans are ok with the Government shutting down if it leads to cuts.
A majority of voters are fine with a partial shutdown of the federal government if thats what it takes to get deeper cuts in federal government spending.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 57% of Likely U.S. Voters think making deeper spending cuts in the federal budget for 2011 is more important than avoiding a partial government shutdown. Thirty-one percent (31%) disagree and say avoiding a shutdown is more important. Twelve percent (12%) are not sure. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Even the “man on the street” now thinks there is stuff going on in the Fedguv which we could do without and never would be missed.

Hey GOP Leadership - grow a pair and do what we sent you there to do - CUT GOVERNMENT SPENDING - WE ARE BROKE!!!
If you are going to cower at the feet of the RATS and their propaganda machine now, why should we believe you have a chance to cutting TRILLIONS next week when Ryan reveals his 2012 budget? You won't stand a chance going up against the likes of Schmucky Schumer and Obozo and their 24x7 propaganda machine. SPEAK TO THE AMIERCAN PUBLIC instead of hiding under your desks. Sure eyes glaze over when you try to describe the Continuing Resolution process but trust me every American family knows what has to be done when all their credit cards are maxed out and the bank ups the monthly payment requirement. EVERY AMERICAN except those riding in the wagon.

Often, when problems become too unfixable, people go their own way and it’s time the government shut down for a while and restructure. Then, in time, the government can start running when the real problems are solved; meanwhile the states can function as they should be, as the constitution states they are supposed to.

Some State governments are NOT BROKE..
That would be the ones with right to work laws..
Unions loot State goverments and Federal gov't.. making them BROKE eventually..

It is a federal government shutdown..Which should equal a shut down of interstate commerce regulation and defense of our borders ONLY!

We need to shut it down for several reasons besides the obvious they are crack heads with our wallets, they are now threatening our country, we need to put them back in the box the founders intended for the federal gangsta, either we rule them or they will rule us..
They should not be able to raise ant money through taxes or borrowing, they need starving with we the people as a sober coach and master..

That 57% is just a bunch of kooks out of touch with the majority of Americans!
We need pragmatic bipartisan consensus building on which programs will be reduced from 12% to a scant 11.5% growth over the past year. That’s real work for the people!

Shut the government down, and leave a lot of it shut down when it reopens. A little downsizing is exactly what the federal monster needs.

I talked to a Belgian the other day. This story isn’t getting alot of play (naturally) but on March 30th they set the international record for Govt. Shutdown and he said that after 290 days of no govt. “the Belgians hadn’t really noticed any difference”. There’s a lesson there somewhere.

Besides the military, borders, air traffic, and beef inspection.....remind me what's critical that you can't do without for a while? Implement rolling shutdowns until they start quitting and finding other jobs on their own volition.
