Drill here, Drill now!
Drill Drill Drill....
It’s about time someone showed good sense.
There should be a push to drill everywhere there is anything worth taking.
Drill Gaia like a 3 AM prom date.
Oooooh. They’re gettin’ tough now. Bet those Dems are shakin’ in their boots.
*yawn*
All I can say is its about dang time.
Sorry much as we all want this it will never happen. Crybaby John and all the rest of the RINOS will cry and mewl & caterwaul until the Democrats get what they want. That of course being no drilling.
Ludites unite! You have nothing to lose but your heat, light, water, transportation, food, medicine, packaging, fuel, and even toothpaste. What a bunch of maroons!
The idiotic name “Wildlife Reservre, etc”...is a complete deceptive joke. It should be called the “God-forsaken permafrost tuhndra wasteland”..but this is how leftists inject emotion into their positions...
I mean, how could ANYONE want to disrupt the Edenic “Wildlife Reserve”?
What a joke
.........drill here, drill there, drill everywhere...
...Then roll back the EPA....
>Alaskan wildlife refuge
It needs to be renamed, “The Alaskan Frozen Postage Stamp”.
Seems like everywhere there is a valuable resource we have a wildlife refuge.
Pray for America
Let’s all call our Republican politicians and encourage them, and if they start to back down, let them know of our disappointment.
The key is they need keep the pressure on. Gas prices are going to go up and up these next two years. Saudi Arabia goes the way of Eygpt and the battle over drilling will be won for us with gas prices heading upward of $6+. The GOP needs to establish themselves as the domestic energy party. They need to fight every day for that goal. They need to push for new refineries, new coal plants, new drilling, etc.
"Yesterday, the president offered some vague platitudes, but no concrete plans to rein in rising gas prices, even as they climb toward $4 per gallon," Senator Vitter said at a press conference.
The Republican bill, he told reporters, "would unleash our vast domestic energy potential to create American jobs, help free us from our reliance on foreign oil and begin to reduce our $14 trillion national debt."
Vitter said his bill would create more than 2 million jobs, $10 trillion in economic activity and $2 trillion in federal tax receipts over 30 years.
This is a good battle for the GOP to take the lead and take the fight to the liberals. With gasoline prices going up and the economy on shaky ground, they can make the case that increased US oil production is important. The public is seeing $4.00+ a gallon gas and some analysts say $5.00 is not too far off into the future. It's good to see the GOP get ahead of the curve on issues that matter. The fact is, this is both good policy and reveals Obama as out of touch with the average America - a double win situation. I hope they go for it and make the best case they can.
Ah, but it will make a difference.
Recall the last oil price spike. It began with the Dem takeover of Congress and Nancy Pelosi's promise to eliminate further exploration for oil in the USA proper and offshore.
And it ended with the GOP filibuster in the House and the eventual agreement by Harry and Nancy to re-open offshore leasing. Which, of course, they rescinded immediately after the 2008 election.
Announced government policy has a clear effect on commodity prices.
