I was not referring in any way to Maine's representation in the U.S. House. It just seemed like a lot of representatives to the State House for a small population state.
Maine's always had a pretty high voter participation rate and, as far as I can figure, this may be a legacy of the state's once being rock-ribbed Republican and having an early understanding of the importance of actual representation.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
