This is disturbing, on it's face, and somewhat on it's substance, because a government-based paycheck recipient will tend to vote Left.
HOWEVER
This is a product of our incredible productivity and ingenuity. It now takes one person to do the industrial work of 100, and that causes there to be less employees on shop floors -- many less -- for as good or better of a standard of living (provided among the populace).
Something to understand.

What country can survive when most of what's being done is just pushing paper from one side of the desk to the other. The only time government workers break a sweat is when they grab one of the 40 stamps on their desk and slam it on the pieces of paper.

This nation also has TONS of folks who though technically are unemployed and some receive government aid, have OTHER sources of income that they will never claim.
Many of us know too many people who work out of their home providing various services from auto repair, home repair, creating arts and crafts for sale or a just a low level drug dealer who accept cash only to avoid the taxman.
I do not believe at all that capitalism is dead in the USA and simple reforms like implementing a fair tax code and serious reducing welfare would go a long way in creating economic prosperity.
Securing economic freedom from the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT should be our number one priority.

Spending millions and billions of dollars on foreign aid is not helping our situation either, and, is not helping the people the money is intended to help anyway.
Why should we pay for the whole world?
IF we would embrace oil and natural gas exploration and production in this country, we could power our economy for the next hundred years and cripple the economies of those who wish to enslave us.

A state can’t last long like this.
The East fell to the islamic hordes because they were LESS oppressive than the Christian empire. Taxes were lower, usury was banned, and most people could live their lives in relative peace. The late Eastern Empire has a huge state, which grew to expensive to maintain. But since the state workers had enough power to dethrone emperors, they could not be dealt with.

IIR communism keeps the people in three categories. They work for the government, are on welfare, or serve in the military.

Wealth is created on the shop floor.
It doesn't help when our college age kids overwhelmingly choose to become lawyers and political science majors.
Those are the academics degrees of "pie slicers" not "pie makers".

I heard somewhere that 35 percent of Americans get some kind of government check that they live on (I am one of them but hey, I earned it) another 5 to 10% WORK for some kind of government agency. I came to the conclusion that if you add that up, that’s Obama’s base right there.

One more reason why we need unprecedented reform of our income tax system--if not outright phasing out of it in favor of a national consumption tax. Once we overhaul national taxation to make it business-friendly, expect an economic boom in a matter of months as American companies bring back jobs, factories and even corporate headquarters to the USA and foreign companies expand operations in the USA.

True Americans are builders...the left couldn’t stand that we are truly an exceptional people and country...so the take down started slowly then the more haters of America in government accelerated the take down...moving manufacturing to countries like China...telling stupid Americans [not] it’d be good for America...the list goes on and is rather long...so today we are seeing the outcome...hand outs is not the American way and well over 50% are mad as hell...it will not be easy but we will take back this country from the evildoers...once and for all...

Baby Boomer ethics at work.
They were called the “Me Generation” in the 70’s and that’s a very fitting title - it is truly all about them and getting theirs.
They used to mooch off their parents - but their parents are gone. So the government now fills in the role.
What do they care if they bankrupt their kids? They’re just owed it.
And that attitude is not going to change.
Before you say it: yep, it’s not your fault. Someone else’s gets to clean up the mess. Typical attitude of the “Me Generation”.
