How Eric Holder and Barack Obama Squandered the Promise of a Post-Racial America
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | J. Christian Adams

A limited internal investigation into whether the people who dismissed the black panther voter intimidation case acted unethically has concluded. No surprise, the DOJ found that DOJ did not act unethically. This minor event was enough to create media history. For the first time since the scandal broke, the New York Times, NPR, Associated Press and Washington Post all covered the black panther voter intimidation matter. It seems media interest peaks when the government is to be defended – a perverse position given the historic import of the free press.

What has been most amazing to see is how the left-wing blogosphere has taken this limited and predictable finding and pounced like genuine reactionaries. The fly has buzzed by the frog and a long tongue darts automatically. The cat sees a mouse, and pounces. They cannot help themselves, they cannot do otherwise. It is like the Borg, all moving in unison, in common preprogrammed purpose. (With credit to the brilliant Jennifer Rubin).

There are a number of reasons, if I may stain that noble word, why the Left acts like this when it comes to the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation scandal. For starters, conservatives have never had permission to speak on racial issues, and until recently, conservatives have submitted. For decades, Republicans were particularly guilty. Too afraid to articulate a competing philosophy on racial issues, they were content to stay silent and allow thinkers like Shelby Steele to do all of the heavy lifting. After all, he could get away with it.

I am reminded by a conversation where someone said, “don’t stir up the anthill, we don’t want to raise these issues.”

Holder is a racist no doubt. It’s obvious he has an issue with white people.

Now, White means "NO rights".
And note that WE support terrorists of any color skin.”

And Republicans are doing what to bring this issue to the forefront?

Not sure that this is entirely true. But it is undoubtedly true that "Race" is a big hammer looking for a "Nail" that is sticking up. If a conservative viewpoint is detected the Media will come down hard on the offending idea as well as the offender.

Because of his credentials as a fierce anti-communist, only Nixon could go to China without being labeled as soft on the chi-coms. As a black President, only Obama could have told his people to get their acts together and stop the behaviors that have destroyed their community. To stop using racism as a crutch and an excuse for poor choices and morals. No white President could do it without being labeled a racist. Unfortunately, Obama squandered his chance, and I suspect their wont be another black President able correct his mistake for a long long time.

Obama and his handlers are only interested in using “race” as a tool to foster division. It's well documented in every communist playbook.

The left counts on average Americans willingness to look for the good in everyone. You cannot underestimate the underlying evil of the enemy or allow them the benefit of a doubt.

For proof of concept just look back at the behavior of the DemonRATs while they ramrodded OBAMACARE through. Pelosi and her ilk wading into teaparty protesters hoping to provoke an incident in front of prepositioned cameras.

Lies from black congressman claiming to be called the N word. All of which is typical cloward-piven agitation.

The DemonRAT party is wholly owned and financed by EVIL inc. And the greatest trick that EVIL inc. ever did was convince the world it didn't exist.

Nothing! And don’t hold your breath that they ever will.

What about the citizens of "black america?" Not only squandered the promise, they destroyed urban America in the process.

Adams is being unrealistic. The establishment has decreed that only one set of opinions on racial matters may be safely uttered in public. Anyone who deviates from the party line will be trashed to set an example for others. It might be healthier for the country to have honest discussions, but it’s like belling the cat. Too big a risk for the one who steps forward, and nothing to be gained. It’s like being a heretic in the days of the Spanish Inquisition—why speak out and get burned at the stake?
