Eligibility Issue : Bound by Constitution ? Jailed officer raises question
WND ^ | March 31, 2011 | Bob Unruh

A military doctor who was court-martialed and sent to prison after questioning Barack Obama's eligibility to be president and refusing to follow orders that descended from the commander-in-chief is somewhere past half-done with his sentence.

And now he has suggested in his writings the nation ponder the question of whether it is bound by the Constitution.

Dr. Terry Lakin, an Army doctor who refused to deploy again to Afghanistan when his chain of command refused to verify that Obama legitimately is president, is serving a six-month term given him at his court-martial at Ft. Leavenworth in Kansas.

He remains under the Uniform Code of Military Justice but has been allowed to post online a series of observations he's made while serving his time. Those private communications to the Terry Lakin Action Fund suggest that his focus remains on the foundations of the nation and the rights and responsibilities of its citizens.

He's commented on the physical workouts he's enjoyed, his work, his cell and other issues, according to the action fund, which is the organization that has been raising funds to pay the monthly bills for Lakin's family while he serves his term.

Instead of producing the long form, the poser in chief allowed this honorable army doctor to go to prison and have his military career ruined

Yea... he has nothing to hide.

To think that Obambi would let this man even get as far a prison instead of defending his “own” subordinate shows what a miserable creep we have in our White House.

All the creep had to do was show his birth certificate and this man would still be doing honorable service to his country. What a disgusting person!

Can you imagine if one of the code pinkos was in jail because George Bush refused to release his birth certificate? Guaranteed, Chucky Schumer, Barney Frank and all of the other camera hogs would be pounding the issue daily in the media and in the congress.

Instead, nothing. If it wasn’t for this site and a few others like WND, not too many people would even be aware of the case. Where was talk radio for Lakin? I don’t recall much at all. I did hear him on G Gordon Liddy.

Whenever I hear a liberal defend Obama's refusal to release his long form birth certificate, I think of Dr. Terrence Lakin.

Lakin's case drew national attention. Since the case concerned Obama's legitimacy in office, it is all but certain that Obama knew all about Lakin, probably long before the trial began.

These are the choices Obama faced when he learned of Lakin's situation:

If Obama has a valid Hawaiian long form birth certificate
Obama could have made a brief public statement authorizing the Hawaiian Department of Health to release all his original birth records to the public. If the released documents appeared legitimate, and Obama's long form birth certificate stated that he was born in Hawaii, Dr. Lakin would probably have been satisfied. He would probably have accepted deployment to Afghanistan.

On the other hand...

If Obama does not have a valid Hawaiian long form birth certificate
If Obama admitted this, his legitimacy as POTUS would have been called into question. The case against Lakin would have been dropped, or at the very least, Lakin's position as a defendant would been much stronger, and the odds of him avoiding jail much better.

So, whether or not he has a valid long Hawaiian form birth certificate, Obama had to chose between (1) being honest and forthcoming about his birth documents, and (2) putting a principled physician in jail.

He chose to put a principled physician in jail.
