I've read stories suggesting that Kerry and McCain worked together to make sure POWs from VietNam NEVER returned.
Not sure of the reliability: but we know Kerry "Genghis Khan" "Unfit For Command" hated our troops, and McCain admitted during the GOP convention where he accepted the nomination that "they broke me".
