EXCERPT
Brzezinskis view on Trumps fascination with the birth certificate:
I dont like this, because I think this promotes hate and this brings us back and I thought we had gotten past this. I really do, and I dont care how serious he feels about it, there are more important things we need to be talking about. He had a chance. Everybody wanted to hear what he had to say, because of exactly where we are in this country. And people were beginning to look at him and Im sorry this is a bad call.

Last?
Usually, it’s the first thing they try.
Whoopi G was almost comical in her usage of the race card the other day. She had NO other argument.
Well, Mika - there’s a fetid wad of hate in the oval office. And your dad is another example.
I think you are correct... the WH is worried. Probably only Obama and a few others have actually seen the document which means that he is essentially asking the rest of his administration to take it on Faith that he is what he says he is. I think that faith is wavering.
Forged birth certificate? Multiple social security numbers?
Millions spent on lawyers to keep personal records hidden?
This is ridiculous. This is surreal.
Who the h*ll is this guy??
Who sent him?
“All the other potential candidates are cowards on this issue. Sadly, Palin and Bachmann (who literally have nothing to lose by taking a firm stand on this issue) have backed away from this issue.”
GOP talking points?

Later, former Bush political guru Karl Rove said he thought the birther approach by Trump is a mistake. It will marginalize him.
I hope not. Trump may be doing the country a service here, but that doesn't automatically qualify him for the presidency. From what I've seen & heard of Trump he's all over the map politically. I don't know if he has a coherent political philosophy.
As with Watergate, the most damning part is the cover-up.
CAUTION: OSTRICH CROSSING
Yep, had to produce mine just three days ago for that very purpose. My guess would be, IL does not follow the federal requirement, which has interesting implications, when the fed stops recognizing IL drivers license as a means of identification. That is how the requirement is being portrayed in SD.
“The libs can’t respond so they start spouting the “hate” nonsense to change the subject.”
Not just to change the subject but to make the subject taboo by labeling it “hate” to even discuss it. Try to change the perception of the question to something only a Klansman would ask.
Did you see the evil glares she gave Joe?
More and more, I am beginning to like and appreciate “Hate.”
Mika and her daddy need to grab their hammers and sickles and head to Cuba with good ole Jimmy Carter.
In typical Bolshecrat fashion, Mika pins all hate back to enforcing a law, unless, that law benefits a Bolshecrat.
Truping-The-Tramp Ping................
Thank you, maggief.
How long before somebody proposes making filing an FOIA request a “hate crime”?
Interesting perspective ...

Back in the days before the Internet, senior political reporters at the “serious” media outlets wouldn’t write about personal scandals directly. They would “analyze” the “impact” of scandals on “perceptions.”
That way, everybody could pretend that they weren’t discussing Gary Hart’s “liaison” with Donna Rice, they were just discussing its impact on Gary Hart’s political future.
The challenge for journalists today is to somehow get the “birther” issue into their copy (because it generates a ton of hits) without alienating the good opinion of their colleagues, all of whom in New York-Washington media circles are resolute in their belief that “birthers” are insane.
Back to the old dodge! Don’t talk about the issue. Talk about the politics of the issue.
(snip)
Have no argument..? No problem. just throw the hate card or the race card. These people are so pathetic that its comical
