Rethinking Sarah Palin For President
Irish Examiner USA ^ | 3/29/2011 | By Alicia Colon

Although I have written several columns expressing my admiration for Sarah Palin, I admit I have never taken her seriously as a 2012 presidential candidate. I've always felt that her greatest asset was as a kingmaker and behind the scenes advisor. In addition I've assumed that she wasn't that interested in pursuing the job but rather enjoyed making waves in the liberal media. The more I read the continuing attacks on Palin and her family I've started wondering why the Democrats and their media lapdogs fear her so much. Even some conservative pundits have determined that she is unelectable because of her high negatives. Those negatives are actually bogus and based on lies and misinformation and there is really only one word to describe Sarah Palin - indomitable.

Bill Maher played to the lowest common denominator and insinuated that Palin was a "dumb tw**t" and his moronic audience cheered. Ari Fleischer, a former press secretary in the George W. Bush administration, said recently that he couldn't see "any way, shape or form that [Palin] can win" the White House. Naturally there was a Public Policy poll that determined that Democratic and Independent voters would vote for Charlie Sheen over Sarah Palin. The fact that there was even such a poll should indicate the vigorous campaign to minimize her credibility as a serious candidate. Who's paying for these skewered polls anyway?

The anti-Palin campaign stretches to foreign media where Canadian TV columnist John Doyle writes in the Globe and Mail that television forever killed Palin's chances to be president. He writes: "television duly destroyed the Palin authenticity. The arc of her national political career began with a defining speech at the Republican National Convention in September, 2008,

I find it interesting that since you know who has been banned, the silent women haters have decided to show themselves.

May I borrow your tagline... thanks...

The Christian hating elite & friends can pound sand.

There is no woman hater here. There is no greater love than the family set up God made. Men are to love their wives like Jesus loved the church.

Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.

Do you think Jesus didn't love his church? How is that hate? Do you even have a clue what you are talking about? Maybe you can't understand...

1 Corinthians 2:14 (NIV) "The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned."

Yes, men are to love their lives as they would Christ, and honor and raise them up in the same manner.

Denying them a role of authority is hardly Christ-like.

But nice try playing the Christian hate card!

Sincerely,

From a Christian (and a woman!)

So calling him not perfect is dissing him? Pointing out the raking over the coals he got from the MSM is dissing him? Wow, you really need to change the meds, darling. You’re delusional.

And so, you believe Sarah Palin is evil for the tweet she made?

Evil is your word.

I will repeat Jim's words.

Yep, I guess you were right outside the last feast demanding that Jesus appoint a woman disciple. Perhaps you pray daily that Jesus was a woman. Take it up with God if you have a problem.

I'm pretty comfortable with God and His son, thank you. Perhaps you might want to remove that log in your eye. As a sinner, I pull at least one out every day. But I'm a woman, so maybe not.

There comes a time when all good folks say we both made our point.

Enough. No use kicking a dead horse.

FR is Palin Country

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2614998/posts?page=48#48

Yep, this is his post word for word.

This was at the Tea Party Express rally in Reno, NV last week (Go Sharron Angle!). The lady in the cowboy hat with the sweet smile is my wife Sheila. And that’s Syncro’s left eyeball in the upper left as he focuses his video camera.

Sarah was introduced to me by Sal Russo (leader of the Tea Party Express) who introduced me as Jim Robinson from freerepublic.com. She said thank you for all you guys have done, then leaned forward and gave me a little cheek to cheek hug. I took it as she loves the FReepers and pass it on to all of you!!

Woo hoo!! FR is Palin Country!!

END QUOTE

Jim says "I took it as she loves the FReepers and pass it on to all of you!!" I take from that that Jim was proud of her recognition of FR and wanted to share his joy with the rest of us. Not that he was proclaiming FR to be exclusive only for Palin. I guess it depends what your definition of "is" is.

I looks like you are influenced by what I call pre-rational human thought. It tells you that a woman should not be the pastor of a church or the leader of a country. It allows the extreme subjugation of women in the Muslim world and treatment that comes from human thinking of ancient times when men lived by culture and not by science. It does not allow women access to power and leadership positions and regards women as imperfect human beings to be held on a lower social status.

It is the popular culture of the Left in America that has a most twisted view of womanhood in America. While giving lip service to equality there are no limits to the sick depravity the Left degrades women who reach their goals of individual accomplishment. To the women who succeed, they attribute the most pornographic images, complete with knee-pads, abortion and whoring their way to the top. To them, a woman is in her place as a naked porno queen sitting on Charlie Sheen’s lap sharing a crack pipe.

I like what Sarah Palin said in India. It told me she is running for Presidency and it told us why she is running:

"It’s time a woman became president of the United States of America.”

And,

“We are on the side of religious tolerance & women’s rights! (And in recent years, India has helped lead by example in the area of women’s education by narrowing the gender gap in women’s literacy. You’ve helped remind the world that a culture cannot advance when it holds back half its creative & intellectual power!)”

Many who object to the idea of Sarah Palin as POTUS have an undercurrent of misogyny that I see as a carryover of pre-rational human culture. You qualify in that definition.

I guess you were right outside when Jesus forgave Mary Magdalen.

Nope but the scripture is rich on this subject. What do we know about this subject. That Jesus knew he would be stoned to death if he called for her death (only a Roman official could do so) so he had to use his wit to get out of the situation. We know that the Jews also would hold it against Jesus if he did not follow the law. We know Jesus has the power to forgive those that justly deserved the death penalty. He forgave King David earlier for a sin that also deserved death. Talk about a master the way Jesus worked though that difficulty. Praise be to Him. He didn't invoke the Roman wrath and didn't break a commandment.

Or when the other women in the Bible risked their lives for Christ and His word.

Ohh yes there is plenty of strong women in the Bible that did a man's job when a man would not do it. God will use all that he had to work with and women in some sections in time were more Godly than the men that were suppose to lead. God even punished countries for not having men do their jobs and leaving it up to the women.

This book is a good read on the subject.

here and here, where he reveals himself as a Duncan Hunter zombie.

???

Respecting one of our best past conservative congresscritters, Duncan Hunter, makes one a zombie?

Is this what FR has become?

Your post looks more like something you'd find on DU.

LOL!

Re-read the sentence, William Strunk Jr.

And give E.B. White a courtesy call while you're at it.

It parses like this:

"...reveals himself as a (Duncan Hunter zombie)".

Why is it okay to refer to those who advocate Sarah Palin's run for President as "Palinistas", "cult members" and the like, but the minute one turns around the treatment (against someone whose support is minute, as opposed to someone who is in the crosshairs(+) of the left even as we speak), it is suddenly worthy of DU?

Nice try, though.

Cheers!

(+) oops, was that uncivil and inciting-to-violence?

There was nothing “zombie-ish” in the posts you linked, nor did they refer to “Palinistas” or “cult members”.
You trashing someone for respecting a conservative congresscritter is repugnant.
