Maybe the problem is that you ended up in the middle of an ongoing discussion where various Roman Catholics have insisted that Protestantism is not a valid religion, theology, worldview or Christian faith, but is, instead, made up of "30,000 cults."

• "That's Christianity. That's Calvinism"
• The problem with non-denominational churches is that there's nothing to stop the congregation from deciding to become Mormon or Unitarian, etc.
• Wesleyan philosophy which rejects TULIP rejects scripture. To reject these concepts means a rejection of Christianity.
