Yes, but did you read the article? Actually, I have the impression that Al Jazerra has been relatively neutral in its reporting with perhaps a slight lean toward the various rebel groups. At any rate, having watched it a fair bit, then looked at other sources and Googled basic information I have come to the conclusion that it is a pretty good source of information if you keep its potential biases in mind.

“I’m conflicted here. Not sure who to root for. The Terrorist regime in Washington, or the Terrorist regime in Libya.

Decisions decisions.”

I know not what you choose, but I choose the one In Washington if only to create anther example with which to show their hypocrisy should the day come.

In any even we should take careful note of the struggles involved in Libya it is no easy thing to take down a Regjems by force even with massive numbers of defectors.

Let us remember that in making our own plans for surely the tyrants will remember it as well.

This is why our States are soo critical to our long term freedom. They have the trained armies and equipment with-which to combined with the defectors and defend our liberty with force if necessary. Without them we would be as helpless as the Libyan rebels are to a would be dictator in Washington D.C.

People speak of 2nd amendment as our defenders, well the truth is the 2nd amendment may enable us to overthrow our local Government, and if our State is small and weak enough that too. But an untrained army of Citizens could never take down a large state or the Federal Government.

It would furthermore take us too long to get trained and organized enough to even stand a chance. If we ever lose control of our State Governments to Washington’s Corruption we will really be done.

Allah steers the bullets so why aim?

Finally! An Infidel who understands! Alhumdoolillah!

However, some very bad Muslims in Afghanistahn have been so infected by the decadent infidel west, that they are actually trying to aim well and (gasp) keep their eyes open when they pull the trigger! Even if these faithless ones accept martyrdom, I shouldn't be at all surprised if their virgin allotment were to be sharply reduced by Allah the All-Wise.

A secular despot vs. Radical Militant Islam

0bamdi making that very decision...coin at the ready...

Senior advisers (those old white balding geezers) are astounded at the depth and sophistication of the great readers capacity for leadership.

I'm conflicted here. Not sure who to root for.

I'm hoping both sides lose.

It's something like the French revolution....

The only war the French won...

against themselves.

What they are doing is waiting for our troops to go in and DIE for Obama and Al Qaeda.

Makes me damn ill. Anyone for this should hang their head in horrible shame.

That goes for McCain and Lindseed.

Devout muslims believe that allah steers the bullets. Just launch them in the general direction. If it’s allah’s will that they hit the enemy, they will. If it isn’t, they won’t. So why bother aiming?

Last night on NBC news the reporter was talking about how badly the rebels are trained giving an example as to when he witnessed one of them firing a rocket in the wrong direction which landed on his own people. I wonder what that said to the rebel about what Allah is thinking?

"Yes, but did you read the article?"
Yes I did read both articles on the tribal makeup of the Libyans. It is much like we find in every mid east country as well as in say Afghanistan. The articles in no way influence my thinking to change. I could go into per verbatim almost identical scenarios for Afghanistan and Iraq, from a tribal basis.
I should have given you the courtesy of including the above in my last reply where I requested to stop the stream of pings. I spend a lot of time each day keeping abreast of world news both via. this web site as well as US and Foreign media outlets,by visiting their sites. What you read at AoL is the same as many other. They are all getting their reports from the few that are on the ground. So what you send me most often I had already read a number of times from different sources, prior to even logging into FR..
I did not in any way mean to slight you or otherwise.

Yes, but did you read the article?

Will confess sometimes it is necessary to go view different sources to attain knowledge and understanding of the situation, if such is possible. Another confession; As of late the possibility of reading each source has been a question of time, and time has not been there for all the information available. More time equals more reading. Thank You, for updates and input.

I think there is a bit of a misunderstanding here. My comment about “did you read the article” was aimed at Gusty who seemed to think that just because I had posted an article from Al Jazeera that it probably had no validity. I think comments 56 and 57. This was not a reference to the two articles posted earlier on the tribes of Libya. If you asked me to no longer ping you because you were miffed about my question, I hope I have now cleared up the misunderstanding. If you no longer wish me to ping you on anything, I will, of course, respect your wishes. I have only been sending you these messages because you seem well informed and interested in broader discourse.

No dear lady. My wording was bad. I should have elaborated more clearly as to why I asked you to stop pinging. As I attempted to do in my follow up was indicate that I spend on many given days...today was an exception, where I spent many hours at CSPAN to catch up on all the Congressional grillings of Gates and Mullins over how this whole episode is really not good in many respects.
On most days I can spend twelve hours plus a day hitting dozens of L/MSM, blog sites, lesser news media, Major media outlets outside the US, blah blah blah.
I have no problem with Aol. And I was not critical of their versions. But. What you send me I have most probably already read a number of versions.
That is what I should have respectively responded in kind initially. I failed to do so.
If you see something you really feel something really requires me to respond. Do so. But actually. About five days back I responded in one communication I don't really care what happens in Libya. I had good reasons to respond in the matter. I meant it. It is a loosing battle. So many Democrats at this point are joining in with the Republican side to acknowledge that this was all approached from the wrong view/way. The mad man in Libya and his follow everything coming out of the US Congress and elsewhere. They are not stupid. The realize so many screw up where made by this administration with the blessings of the State Department goons, that it may soon hog tie any effective attempts the US primarily pursue.
Perhaps if you can find time you may view some of the CSPAN Congressional hearings going forth over the past few days.
The War Powers Act. Was not followed. Just to name one. It may end up that the House does not provide funding for this whole mess. And it is not just the Republicans on that issue.
So. Like I have been eluding to for two weeks or so. I am against the object behind this Libyan issue. Since when just for instance should UN mandates or a few European nations take rule over the POTUS prior to any military applied use of force, not first carefully consult the Congress on it's intentions. It is now un-winding if you permit me... that the executive branch has pissed off many in the Congress. But more importantly a careful view of what has come to pass, is that it was deliberate. And the WH as well as the DOS know full well they did not follow the proper protocols. The side stepped much and continue to use the UN as an excuse. Well the hell with the one world far left infiltrated by design from it's origin UN.
It is surfacing slowly as to how many various elements of really radical Muslim groups that work out of Libya along with elements of known al Qaeda, may perhaps benefit from any continued downfall of the current government.
When asked on several occasions by members of both sides of Congress to primarily to Gates, just who are we supposedly supporting he gave doe eyes, and admitted he hadn't a clue.
Stop watch click.
This is why I am totally against this whole as I have used the term fiasco more then once. They either don't know what the hell they are doing OR. They do. And it is not in the best interest of the USA as how they have conducted this whole affair. A hell of a lot more innocent women, children, and men have been killed off in a number of countries in Africa for instance, a lot more then Libya by any stretch of the imagination. Where we have a few hundred rag tag so named rebels... totally IMHO by the reporters on the ground... to zip about and appear like they are representing the majority tribes of the state of Libya.
If it where not so sad lives are being lost, it would be funny.
As for NATO. It is a joke how so many times Hillary, Gates, Mullins and others have made it sound like the US will step down and take some minor role. BS. The US drives NATO in almost all of it's capacity. The European nations take a fourth level down seat.
The hundred million per week will continue to be used up out of our tax dollars, to partially protect some areas of civilian population centers in Libya.
So with out further ruining your eye balls for this evening, I give you just a few concerns I for one have about this whole affair. I slightly touch on it. I to have had a family member, a nephew who put two tours in Iraq in some of the most dangerous areas, as well as being in S4 (Intel Staff level) as first a private then later as a Lance Corporal then Corporal in the Marine Corps., more then once almost got blown into tiny bits and many times shot at...going into small towns in al Anbar... think south, west and north of Baghdad, then later during the major offenses called Operation Matador in upper al Anbar along the Syrian border, westward close to the Jordanian line all the way to the east of the Tigris flying choppers into bad areas, driving humvees into areas where all he had was a partial squad.....The a full tour in Afghanistan first working for the "General in Kabul", then during this tour as a civilian after he left the Corps., to Kabul and back with both Army and Marines and SOC in four provinces.
So I place first our sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, moms, dads, uncle and aunts..... we love them as the primary concern. I don't see if this Libyan operation expands that it is in the best interest of the United States nor all our military in the air, by the sea and in the air to go in harms way for a very ill defined at best missions that does not even meet the either of the three permitted reasons under the War Power Act to be doing what the US is now doing.
Tis late. I have been on the Internet since seven this morning, with interim breaks for domestic needs. Do have a great upcoming day. Whoops. I did not ask you to not ping me. But not to blast me with news streams that I am fully keeping an eye on.

No problem. I appreciate the explanation. I too am very concerned about these events as my son still has 5 years to do for his 20, now as a Sergeant in Special Forces. He was in Afghanistan from Jan. to Sept. of 2006, and if you are interested you can find our email exchanges which I posted here at FR on my Home Page. He was at Ft. Bragg in Aug. 1990 with the 82nd. His Bravo company was “on mission” when Saddam invaded Kuwait on the 2nd and was in Saudi Arabia by the 9th. It was a scary time. I have a lot of photos that he sent to me. At any rate, in the future I will only ping sudden important developments, or obscure but interesting research that I might do relative to these situations. Cheers, and good night.
