Undisciplined Libyan rebels no match for Gaddafi's forces
The Guardian ^ | 3/30/11 | Chris McGreal

If there's an ammunition shortage, no one has told Khalif Saed. He was firing off a large machine gun welded to the back of a pick up truck, sending the contents of the heavy belt of bullets darting through the weapon and in to an empty sky. It's a regular enough occurrence on the open desert road along which Libya's conflict has swung back and forth through this month. Sometimes the stream of fire is celebratory, as earlier this week when it was falsely claimed that Muammar Gaddafi's hometown of Sirte had fallen.

I'm conflicted here. Not sure who to root for. The Terrorist regime in Washington, or the Terrorist regime in Libya.

Decisions decisions.

Devout muslims believe that allah steers the bullets. Just launch them in the general direction. If it’s allah’s will that they hit the enemy, they will. If it isn’t, they won’t. So why bother aiming?

I’m not joking.

So that's why they're always firing from the hip or craning the muzzle of a rifle around a corner to squeeze off a few unaimed rounds?

Exactly. Allah steers the bullets so why aim?

This is a great time for Cindy Sheehan to take all those “books” she had left over from her Fiasco in Waco up to Barry’s house in Chicago and maybe sell them to the old hippies up there. Just because the Texas rednecks didn’t want to read her leftist drivel it doesn’t mean the Chicago loonies don’t want to read it. Like the DemocRATS always say, “Never let a good crisis (or “war”) go to waste.”

Well, that’s enlightening. Nothing like separating yourself from the responsiblities for your skills and action.

Actually, al Qaeda was in from the beginning. Obama's just making sure that they win. Maybe this is Obama's way of apologizing to al Qaeda for attacking them in Iraq and Afghanistan. Who knows - giving them Libya might* turn them into moderates.

From a West Point study of jihadists in Iraq:

A breakout of the hometowns of Libyan jihadists who showed up in Iraq:

Note that the 84% of the jihadists came from Darnah and Benghazi, both rebel strongholds that were (as pointed out in the West Point study) previously the scene of Islamist uprisings in the mid-1990's.

* You know what they say - conservatives believe in God and liberals believe in Santa Claus. Problem is - there is no Santa Claus.

They do rather better firing belt-fed machine guns with tracers at ground targets, where they “walk” the fire to the target.

But that is different than actually aligning the sights in the classic Western way. It’s very hard to get that into muslim heads, because their entire upbringing is to understand that allah will steer the bullet.

CNN reports that there are less than one thousand rebels in total and likely less than half of them are trained fighters. This is totally unbelievable to me. What the h#ll is going on in Lybia?

Britain’s Empire was held together over time with limited expense. They simply learned how to play rivals against each other in their colonies. Divide and rule. Divide and Conquer.

IMO, this is all to help the Kenyan impostor’s puppet-master Soros and I say he just wants to keep Libyan oil flowing to Europe as it has been doing, and drive up the price of gas in the USA hurting us, since we are an automobile based culture unlike Europe. Not only that, AQ is strengthened, which also benefits that wicked SOB Soros.

Just wait until they receive the weapons Barry Soetoro sends them. The clouds over Libya will look like Swiss cheese!
