Springs man's claim to have Obama records starts buzz

A Colorado Springs “birther,” retired Air Force Col. Gregory Hollister, has Internet blogs abuzz with what may be an illegal foray into an online Social Security data base and how he obtained a copy of President Barack Obama’s draft registration from 1980.

“Col. Greg Hollister, USAF (Ret.) contacted the Selective Service, falsely impersonated President Obama, improperly registered his own address as President Obama’s address, and by this false impersonation and identity theft he managed to obtain a duplicate registration acknowledgement card with President Obama’s Selective Service information on it,” a blogger posted on gratewire.com last week. “This may violate several federal criminal statutes, and apparently caused the federal record of President Obama’s address with the Selective Service to be altered to show that he lives in Colorado Springs, CO.”

I’ll fight Obama on any front he wishes to fight. I’ve learned enough to know that birth certificates and SSNs aren’t going to win the hearts and minds of moderates. What WILL win their hearts and minds are great well-spoken conservative candidates like Marco Rubio and Chris Christie. So, when I talk to a moderate, I’ll start with Rubio, not with birth certificates.

IF he was born in Hawaii, there are four (4) other obstacles to Obama's eligibility:

In and about 1967, Obama moved to Indonesia, took the last name of his stepfather, Soetoro, and went by the name Barry Soetoro. In original legal action filed by Mr. Berg, he presented Obama's school registration, showing him registered as Barry Soetoro, Citizenship-Indonesian, Religion Islam, signed by L. Soetoro.

From 1945, Indonesia has not allowed dual citizenship and, therefore, Ms. Dunham-Obama-Soetoro, Obama's mother, had to relinquish her son's U.S. citizenship in order to obtain Indonesian citizenship for him, which would make him ineligible to become a United States President.

Only Indonesian citizens could attend Indonesian schools at the time Barack Obama attended the Indonesian school where he was registered as Barry Soetoro. His citizenship was listed as Indonesian, his religion as Islam, and his father as Lolo Soetoro, M.A. There was also no dual citizenship at the time.

If he was adopted by his Indonesian stepfather, he would have forfeited any U.S.citizenship he may have had, just as when a child is adopted in America, he or she becomes an American.

Again, Indonesia did not allow dual citizenship, and it was prohibited by the Hague Convention of 1930, as interfering with the internal affairs of another sovereign Country. 81.

In addition, upon return to the United States in and around 1971-1972, Obama would have been required to go to the then current immigration procedures to regain his U.S. citizenship. There is no record of him ever doing that. Even if he had done so, he would be considered a naturalized citizen and not a natural born citizen.

Additionally, if Obama was born in what is now Kenya, at the time of Obama's birth in 1961, (now) Kenya was the British Protectorate of Zanzibar and Senator Obama was automatically accorded a form of British citizenship under Section 32(1) of the British Nationality Act of 1948, effective date January 28, 1949, based on his father's citizenship.

Finally, in 1981, Obama traveled to Pakistan, when there was a ban for U.S. citizens to travel to Pakistan. The only logical possibility for him to do so was by using one of his other passports: Indonesian, Kenyan, or British.

Both Jurisdictions issue:

The 14th Amendment defines citizenship as: Section 1: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States (territorial jurisdiction requires here) and subject to the jurisdiction thereof (political jurisdiction requires one or both American citizen parents and/or oath of citizenship after naturalization) are citizens of the United States and of the State where they reside". BOTH jurisdictions must be satisfied for citizensip, but not necessarily simultaneously. This does not preclude Congress granting citizenship to children of an American citizen born abroad under the Congress's naturalization power. Under Article II, paragraph five of the Constitution:

"No person, except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President; neither shall any person be eligible to that office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States."

To be eligible to be president, both jurisdictions must be simultaneously satisfied; ie.: "a natural born" (territorial jurisdiction of the 14th Amendment) "Citizen" (political jurisdiction). The would-be president must have one parent a U.S. citizen qualified to confer citizenship on his or her offspring as defined by the Congress (Stanley Ann Dunham Obama was not by reason of residency and Barack Obama Sr. was not by reason of British citizenship) and be physically born within the teritorial limits of the United States. The two jurisidictions and their consequent requirements are NOT severable, as they are in merely granting ordinary citizenship.

Barack Hussein Obama fails even if he WAS born in Hawaii because his mother and father could not confer political jurisdiction on him ("under the jurisdiction thereof"), and the two requirements must be met simultaneously ("natural born Citizen"). Subsequent naturalization of a United States born person cannot qualify because the events are severed. Therefore, Barack Obama cannot constitutionally be President.

Natural Born Citizen = Have two US born parents and born on US soil. Simple. . . onwards to SCOTUS. . someday. .

Yes, I realized that Selective service registration application form posted on Debbie Schlussel's site had some irregularities. That's why I used the word "allegedly." Seems as if the posted form may have been created after 1980 and backdated.

Anyone know if the handwriting on the form is consistent with BHO's?

Of course, a child’s citizenship can’t be taken away like that. HUnder your scenario, he was an American citizen under US law, regardless of what Indonesia said.
