If Obama were born in a US Territory he’d still be a US citizen. This question was resolved when Barry Goldwater ran for President. Goldwater was born in the Arizona Territory and when questions were raised it was determined that he was a US citizen. That precedent would include anyone born in Hawai’i, as well.
IOW, the Goldwater spin you put down is superficial claptrap.
Yep.
But it would also mean that his mom, (who was 18 years and 9 months old at the time of his asserted birth) would have been a statutory rape (it’s not rape-rape) victim.
Anyway, if, IF, he really is Constitutionally qualified, why is his BC more secret than Area 51?
A US citizen?
Sigh...
The problem is that he needs to be a NATURAL BORN citizen.
He's an Obama, not a Clinton...
Got a 4 year degree in 9 months...impressive for sure.
Got a 4 year degree in 9 months...impressive for sure.
I’d like to know how exactly Toots died, fwtw.
That's half the problem.
The other half is no one knows what the current legal definition of a Natural Born Citizen is.
If it is not Obama’s SS number, then who did he impersonate? Who’s privacy was violated?
Discovery ought to be interesting...
I don’t want to go too far afield, but in reading a lot of this stuff over the last week or so since Trump got into the B/C thing, a thought crossed my mind re the qualification of being a “natural born citizen”. How does that play out if sometime in the future we have an invitro fertilized baby running for Pres. Is that considered “natural born”?
“The problem is that he needs to be a NATURAL BORN citizen.”
Yeah, it must’ve been sad to his mother that he was born a blue-lipped zombie and not human like all the other kids.
IOW, the Goldwater spin you put down is superficial claptrap.I just stated a few simple facts. You're the one having a hissy fit over this.
Neither one of us are Constitutional scholars so neither one of us are qualified to state authoritatively that being born in a U.S. Territory does or does not disqualify one from becoming President.
However, the Republican Party, the Congress of the United States and the Supreme Court all accepted that someone born in a U.S. Territory was eligible to be President in 1964. That is a clear precedent that would cover Obama if he were actually born in Hawaii prior to Statehood.
It doesn’t matter WHERE he was born. His father was a foreigner, not a citizen. He admits dual citizenship. That means he isn’t NBC.
This man is a hero...
So you think the 14th Amendment means an anchor baby can run for President?
The official story has him two years at Occidental and then two years at Columbia for a total of four years. The information I posted only calls one of those years into question.
ML/NJ
What's not so clear is what the current requirements are.
What exactly, does the Constitution as amended say? Is an anchor baby an NBC?
I say no.
No one, and I mean NO ONE, knows for sure.
Hum, think he will be allowed discovery in that case?
Inquiring minds want to know.
I looked at it real quick, and thought, I don’t have his draft records!!!!
