The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 24% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-one percent (41%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -17 (see trends).
These daily updates are based upon nightly telephone interviews and reported on a three-day rolling average basis. As a result, most of the interviews for todays update were completed before the presidents speech at 7:30 p.m. Eastern time Monday night.
Just 31% believe their own representative in Congress is the best person for the job and only 40% think their own representative deserves re-election.
Twenty-six percent (26%) believe that the federal government should assume financial responsibility for the long-term unemployed by either hiring them or providing unemployment benefits indefinitely.
The Presidential Approval Index is calculated by subtracting the number who Strongly Disapprove from the number who Strongly Approve. It is updated daily at 9:30 a.m. Eastern (sign up for free daily e-mail update). Updates are also available on Twitter and Facebook.
Overall, 43% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president's performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove.

In fact, a 4 point decline in overall support. About 50% polled AFTER the Libya speech
Skimming the numbers, this matches his all-time high disapproval. Now let’s see if we can push him into the low 30s with disapproval in the high 60s.
Seems 26% is marxist.
You could also look at it that 4 out of every 6 strongly disapprove of Obotula or a 66% disapproval rating.
26% or 1 in 4 THINKS the federal government nanny state should hire unemployed???????????? I think that 1 in 4 are absolutely total idiots. But, that is just one sane man’s opinion.
I think the 43% represents the bottom-of-the-barrel mooch vote.
It would be hard to get much below that since about that many are on the government dole and need to have their Dhimmi false security blanket.
He’s likely already there, truth be told. Rassy has been fudging the numbers for some time now.
The debate about D-R splits in the sample population will never end.
However, I would much rather be interested in the IQ and income levels of the respondents and the accompanying weighted results.
I’m going to out on a limb and guess that approval is directly correlated to lower IQ and income.
Well I agree with you and I don’t think you will too much of a problem having more share your opinion.
How so?
I don’t think he wanted anyone to watch his speech. Not in prime time, not in the Oval Office...just did it to get it out of the way. I imagine his Libya strategy is now along the lines of “please make this go away”....and the media will help him out with that.
I'm not so sure about that.
Are there drooling mouth breathers, marijuana addicts, and semi-literates who only see his race that make up a lot of his supporters? Sure.
But don't discount the simply wrong-headed who are at least capable of the intense mental gymnastics required to twist out some convoluted "logic" in support of their bizarre conclusions.
der reader has this incredibly high disapproval rating, and several states are not even going to allow him on their ballots in ‘12 without presenting a long form birth certificate, so how does he have a snoball’s chance in heck of another term. i don’t get it, even though he’s supposedly setting aside a billion dollars for re-election.
Okay, I don't know that for sure, but it's my suspicion.
all internals continue to point to 1/3 of our population being hard-core Socialists
Do you think those numbers are strong?
They are about the lowest I’ve seen for 0 and on the heels of a “war” speech they are downright rotten.
Those numbers are in the mid-40’s, just like today’s Onama approval.
He’s down to his base.
ALl of TV covers for him including Fox. Fox is slightly better but they all cover for
