Schumer’s Phone Gaffe Reveals Dem Talking Points
Red State ^ | Tuesday, March 29, 2011 | by Brian O'Connor

Chuck Schumer’s bad day just got a whole lot worse.

After getting called out by John Boehner for his “inaccurate rants,”

The New York Senator held a conference call with fellow his Democrats…

And the press,

Where he inadvertently revealed the Democrat’s talking points for the week.

Moments before a conference call with reporters was scheduled to get underway on Tuesday morning, apparently unaware that many of the reporters were already on the line, Charles Schumer of New York, the No. 3 Democrat in the Senate, began to instruct fellow senators on how to talk to reporters about the contentious budget process.

After thanking his colleagues for doing the budget bidding for the Senate Democrats, who are facing off against the House Republicans over how spending for the rest of the fiscal year, Mr. Schumer told them to portray John Boehner of Ohio, the Speaker of the House, as painted into a box by the Tea Party, and to decry the spending cuts that he wants as extreme.

“I always use the word extreme,” Mr. Schumer said, “That is what the caucus instructed me to use this week.”

A minute or two into the talking-points tutorial, though, someone apparently figured out that reporters were listening, and silence fell.

Although everybody knew that this is what Schumer and Reid were doing,

It is a huge embarrassment to the party for him to inadvertently reveal that to the press.

From this point on, every republican senator who speaks after Schumer should always say, “Is that what the caucus instructed you to say this week, Chuck?”

Because that is what the ‘organs of propaganda’ do under socialism.

...after which, Schumer instructed the reporters: "You guys will forget you heard all this, right?" to which every reporter snapped: "Sir! Yes, sir!"

I pointed out in October/November that the main ‘talking point word’ was ‘extreme. Big Media obliged the Dems. Now the Tea Party suffers from ‘extreme lying’ by Big Media and the Dems (but I’m being redundant).

Schumer is certainly one of the head "organs" ~ on the other hand this proves he is slipping up.

Next we can expect him to be caught calling Dick Durbin and Anthony Weiner to see if either one of them can set him up with a buxom 12 year old.

You heard it here first.

So, the brilliant, really really smart, intellectual-genius senator from New York doesn’t think for himself but parrots the lines of his masters.

Seems like Progressives really do march in a uniform goosestep and trample collectively on the opposition, an opposition that includes some of us little people.

But the wanabee totalitarians in the Democrat party proletariat will continue to vote for this brilliant, intellectual-genius senator and his ilk, forever and ever.

IMHO

Yep.......and then promptly lined up to commit unnatural sex acts on him.

It’s difficult to put the sh-t back into the pony once it’s hit the pavement!

Sorry stupid New Yarkansas voters, but Chuckie is not a mental giant. His being elected by you (not to mention having voted Hitlery Rottenham Klinton into a senate stepping stone) speaks volumes about your horse sense.

New York will become a vast wasteland like Detroit thanks to your un-adroitness! Enjoy your lives and your new governor.

Embarrassment is a good description of Schumer and the lapdog media.

This country is on the verge of fiscal collapse(*) and the members of Congress do this.

Look to both parties. The Dems play games the Repubs don’t have a spine or they don’t care and just talk about cuts to placate the TEA Partiers. For whatever reason, they refuse to do what a sensible person would do.

(*)What would you call it when people estimate 25% to 50% of GDP is government borrowing and spending and you have entitlement spending that is already over 100% of federal revenue this fiscal year and you’re $14 trillion in debt? Right, yeah. To mention it is kookery. Everything will be just fine, right.

h[is] main ‘talking point word’ was ‘extreme'.

The leftists play the game of re-defining words for their propogandic usage, and 'extreme' will be retired, and some other word used to denigrate their opponents. They just go to the word well, and pluck one out. Consider...

absolute, desperate, dire, downright, drastic, egregious, exaggerated, exceptional, excessive, extraordinary, extravagant, fabulous, fanatical, flagrant, gross, harsh, immoderate, improper, imprudent, inordinate, intemperate, irrational, nonsensical, out of proportion, out-and-out, outrageous, overkill, preposterous, rabid, radical, remarkable, rigid, severe, sheer, stern, strict, thorough, unbending, uncommon, uncompromising, unconventional, unreasonable, unseemly, unusual, utter, zealous

Yeah, but Schumer and shmuck are euphonious, and both mean the same thing as "putz." Besides, Charlie thinks he's alliterate.
