Tax the Super Rich now or face a revolution
Market Watch ^ | March 29, 2011 | Paul B. Farrell

Yes, tax the Super Rich. Tax them now. Before the other 99% rise up, trigger a new American Revolution, a meltdown and the Great Depression 2.

We know the Super Rich don’t care. Not about you. Nor the American public. They can’t see. Can’t hear. Stay trapped in their Forbes-400 bubble. An echo chamber that isolates them. They see the public as faceless workers, customers, taxpayers. See GOP power on the ascent. Reaganomics is back. Unions on the run. Clueless masses are easily manipulated.

Even Obama is secretly working with the GOP, will never touch his Super Rich donors. Yes, the Super-Rich Delusion is that powerful, infecting all America.

Here’s how one savvy insider who knows described this Super-Rich Delusion: “The top 1% live privileged lives, aren’t worried about much. Families vacation at the best resorts. Their big concerns are finding the best Pilates teacher, best masseuse, best surgeons, best private schools. They aren’t concerned with the underlying deterioration of America or the world, except in the abstract, because they aren’t directly affected by it. That’s not to say they aren’t sympathetic, aware, or don’t talk about the issues you bring up. They are largely concerned with protecting and enhancing their socio-economic positions, ensuring their families live well. And nothing you write about will change things.”

Just get rid of all the obnoxious deductions, exemptions and credits for rich and poor rent-seekers alike and tax at one low, flat rate (say 15 percent until the debt is payed down, then 10 percent or less). You can bet those super-rich, self-indulgent weenies WILL be paying more, if they want to stay on the good side of U.S. law.

Lower the rates, broaden the base.

Try flip-flops. Is there anything to do there?

There’s the canal, which is bigger and dirtier than the one in Ballard. And there’s supposed to be a Spanish fort somewhere, but I never saw it. Also the so-called ‘Bridge of the Americas’, which is smaller than the Golden Gate and with less interesting history.
The mall is nice. There are full-size statues of animals everywhere in it, including an elephant and giraffe. \
The Hard Rock here is funny. The bathroom doors say ‘caballeros’ and ‘damas.’ And there’s cheap rum.

Oh, dear. Do you ever go anywhere that doesn’t have a Hard Rock Cafe? It does sound like a fun mall. The byos would like a life-sized giraffe statue.

I just turned the air conditioner on. 84 in the dining room and 92 outside.

There are a bunch of officers in this bar. And here I am in a Naruto headband.
Oh well. Take it or leave it.

You could go visit the Cuarto de Damas until they leave. Does the headband say anything tacky in English?

Absolutely not. Except for Lumut, Malaysia, which is smaller than Leanord and composed primarily of identical booze joints.

A booze joint in Leonard would bring in the crowds from Clarence!

Our supper is ready, I think. Frank is shouting, “Meats!”

Try to stay out of trouble with the officers.

It has an hourglass. Because it’s a sand ninja subset headband. Those are the coolest ones in the cartoon.
I just gone done explaining to everyone that I would no loner need to live after attending a concert opened by Rob Zombie and headlining Alice Cooper and Ozzy Osbourne.
Ronnie James Dio is, unfortunately, dead.

Typical reactionary response.

Ha! Every time I have aver heard anyone call someone "reactionary" I was listening to a leftist babble. We'll see if you break the streak. Posting this article makes me doubtful...

LOL, why is there a bar over NOW? Does that mean "Not NOW?"

Inversion fail.

_____
WON

Means "No One Touch My Cake! Rowrr!"

(To see a bar over NOW, you have to look from inside the cake. Unusual perspective.)

"The byos would like a life-sized giraffe statue."

A life-sized giraffe statue would be useless unless it had a hollow tube for a neck that a byo could climb up.

And maybe the ability to shoot flames out of its mouth.

If you build it, they will come. Call it Giraffic Park.

Replies likes yours makes me realize how easy it was for the Red Scare of the 50s to take hold.

"Red Scare" is a term used by the left to marginalize conservative concerns in the 1950s that communists had infiltrated the U.S. government, academia and Hollywood. Your use of the term in this context identifies you as a leftist.

I'm sick of socialists coming to this site and passing off their class envy as a conservative value. You aren't fooling anyone, dipstick. LOL

"There was a panda bear, too. And some penguins."

With the proper weaponry, it would make a great park.

Have you seen iguanas strolling around? Frank has a stuffed iguana; we’re calling it Panama Iguana now. He sleeps with that and the puffin.

Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, and Ozzy Osbourne are dead, too. Panama should have its own indigenous Reptile Metal bands.
