Your cousin and Dick Cheney on a hunting trip would be an interesting day...............
Sometimes the ringing in my ears is so bad I can hardly hear the little voices in my head.
Who knows, if it doesn’t help the tinnitus, at least your ears will look younger!.............
That may be because it’s not FDA approved yet...........
I have had this as long as I can remember. I have had none of the things listed as possible triggers. We used to live near a major highway and it sounded like a big truck coming but I noticed that the truck never passed on by. LOL! I use a little sound making device at night that is louder than the ear noise and that blots it out.
***10 years of Fender and Mesa Boogie amps turned to 11 has left me with ringing ears.***
For me it was ..
4 years of B-52s and KC-135s.
8 years of steel fabrication shop noise.
31 years of Power Plant noise of which 21 years with blood anti-coagulants.
And I wore ear plugs!

A few shots of bourbon help! but then I’m seeing double.

That could be your problem..............

I attribute mine to a combination of many years of copying morse code through headsets AND in 1962 my sinuses ‘blew up’ in the Submarine School Escape Tank.
The ringing gradually got worse and for years I was able to ‘white it out’ but as I get older, it gets harder (whiting out) and I swear it is so loud people standing next to me should be hearing it.
Also, when I talk, I feel like I am ‘screaming’ so to compensate I tend to talk to ‘low’ so people naturally think because I am getting ‘old(er)’ I can’t express myself properly.
That is just as frustrating as the ringing...
VA not much help here either, though I haven’t really pushed it as I believe there are people out there with ‘real problems’.
Interesting, I’ve never heard that aspirin causes tinnitus...when I was trying to get pregnant in the late 90s and 00s, I started taking low dose aspirin daily, and it HELPED reduce the tinnitus for me, at times when I stopped taking it, the roaring and loudness returned...I started taking it again a few years ago for my twin pregnancy and it was reduced, have kept on taking it for heart/stroke prevention. Had a heart workeup done a month ago, and they said my arteries etc. are beautiful and clear, so something is helping! :-) They also credited my taking fish oil capsules for helping with clean arteries and lower cholesterol levels (especially triglycerides).
I’ve never been diagnosed with high blood pressure. Although my blood pressure is screw these days. It’s usually never high and when it is it never lasts very long.
My little thingy makes the sounds of waves on the shore, or waterfalls, or rain on the roof. Not quite the same as yours.:D
Thanks for the ping. Maybe this technique can be built into regular hearing aids.
