A Fort Myers high school senior with Ivy League aspirations and a new set of wheels faces a cloudy future after her arrest on felony charges Friday.
Rachel Anne Hachero, 17, was arrested by Lee County deputies after being accused of pistol-whipping her mother and forcing her to buy the teen a car at gunpoint...She was a member of the schools Model United Nations team who received honorable mention and third place awards at a Harvard competition...
The events leading to her arrest began Thursday evening when Hachero called her mother and asked her to co-sign for a car... Her mother refused, and the teen threatened to kill her. ..
Hachero pistol-whipped her mother in the head and pointed the gun at the womans head and stomach, deputies wrote. The teenager then demanded the mother accompany her to the dealership.
...
Hacheros mother declined to prosecute her daughter, however, citing Hacheros status as an honor student and her acceptance into several Ivy League Schools. Deputies still arrested the teen, and they transported her to the Lee County Juvenile Assessment Center.

Those Amish people are a barrel of fun.
Girl keeps it real.
“Model United Nations team”
That’s hilarious...
Stick that punk in a room full of rocking chairs and ten long tailed cats....
No joke.
The mother should have knocked the little b*tch on her tail. Period.
Threatened with calls to the DFS? Then give the child a reason to call.
Hahaha, I know, outlandish demands, might makes right, self-righteous entitlement, spending other’s money, she’ll fit right in at the UN.
This can’t be her first thug experience, either. She’s been living a double life.
I would wish a daughter on her that’s treats her exactly the same way, but that would be cruel.
There's a joke somewhere in here...
Hmm another good reason to toss that UN. However that girl is running the show in that house. Good thing police pressed charges. Armed with a gun & able to be so violent to her mother we don't need her on a campus. She needs mental help & lots of it.
And hang a mother too.
She was who made a monster to bite her.
Sounds like she learned her lessons well; a perfect model of the United Nations.
Bingo!
Do any of you get tired of the excuses?
He/She was abused as a child.
He/She has a drug/alcohol problem.
He/She (Insert excuse).
I have debates (sometimes heated) with my better half over just this sort of thing! 8)
I believe that 'some' people are just Born evil .. My better half, does not.
Yes I do get tired of the excuses. Many times I think parents are to blame for the monsters they’ve created in their children. I also believe that some people are just born out & out evil.
Ten years upstate should make her appreciate her mother.
That mother will pay for a really good lawyer. She is an enabler. I bet as much a wackadoodle as her daughter.
Are you nuts, mom? If she's this bad at 17, what do you think she'll be like at 27 or 37 (assuming you survive that long)?
