Mike Huckabee Calls 9/11 Cheerleader, Cop-Killer Supporter Van Jones "Fellow Patriot"
Monday, March 28, 2011 | Kristinn

Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee shared a stage with the cop-killer supporter and 9/11 attack cheerleader Anthony "Van" Jones last night in Tallahassee.

Reports on the Florida State and Florida A&M universities joint-event called the State of the Student Summit, are scarce, however Huckabee shared the love with Jones afterward by approvingly re-Tweeting a message Jones sent to Huckabee:

VanJones68 Van Jones by GovMikeHuckabee
.@GovMikeHuckabee made me proud tonight 2B fellow person of faith + fellow patriot. We disagreed respectfully. The American way! #tcot #p2
14 hours ago

A video of a Jones-led rally held the day after the 9/11 terror attacks recently resurfaced that shows speakers and the crowd cheering the attacks, with one speaker praising the attackers as "heroes." Jones said at the rally the U.S. deserved the attacks.

A year or so later Jones produced a record album with the cop-killer Mumia Abu Jamal who was convicted of the 1981 murder of Philadelphia policeman Daniel Faulkner.

Jones has since made a career for himself as a charismatic speaker marketing leftist eco-pablum under the cloak of Obama-style kumbaya "patriotism."

Huckabee looks to have fallen for the Jones' act.

Let’s hope the evangelicals stay at home in 2012. There is no candidate “perfect” enough for them, anyway.

Other than “I love the idea of having a Pastor in the White House”......

Do you have any OTHER reasons why having a ‘it is Unchristian to deny illegal aliens government benefits’, pardoner of murderers, and all around idiot Mike Huckabee should be in the White House.

Is “exercise out the vermin” more important than good governance, good judgment, intelligence and conservatism?

You want me to stay home so the dems can reelect Obama? Do you know how many people you’re asking to sit out this election? That’s just crazy. We gotta stick together bro; this election’s too important to mess up with intertribal rivalries.

In fact, I had half a though the other day we should try to short circuit the plurality problem ahead of time somehow, so we can focus on prevent a recurrence of the McCain Syndrome. Perhaps we could try to set up meetings with the “tribal leaders” of each of the major conservative voting blocks and try to duke it out over who’s the “best candidate” before the primary, one state at a time. If nothing else, this would provide a way to ensure each of these groups gets a dose of reality about their favorite they might never otherwise get. Just a thought.

Has Huckster completely lost his marbles?

Why not, most of the rest of the country has?

Please excuse my ignorance, as I don’t tweet. Didn’t Van Jones call Huckabee a “fellow patriot” in a tweet, and Huckabee somehow tweeted that tweet on his twitter? How did Huckabee call Van Jones a patriot?

Pretty dumb remark to make on a Christian owned and operated web site.

I'm going to try one more time to explain what FR is all about.

Mike Huckabee I don't like him and I don't trust him....

reminds me of a very weak person who is always trying to please everybody, even those who are anti-america ....

Mike Huckabee is the opposite of Donald Trump who is not afraid to speak up...

“I have no pet candidate, and I really really hate Huckabee, and anyone else who says it is “Unchristian” to deny public benefits to illegal aliens.”

Sounds like you are just anti-Christian to me. IF the government is in the business of helping the needy (that is a big if) if would be intrinsically “unchristian” to deny aid to a starving child of an illegal alien. Mike was making a correct statement. Now if you have a problem with Christian compassion.....then you are running counter to basic tenants of American thinking. Now that being said...I agree the qualifier “public funds” does change things somewhat....it is not necessarily “Christian” to give away what doesn’t belong to you. However, as the governor, he had that delegated authority to make decisions; the election gave it to him. IF you expect him to NOT be influenced by his religious beliefs, you are not very wise. If you think his religious beliefs are wrong....you are not a “moral” conservative that is his base. So, you don’t really matter. You are just an anti-Christian hater. You have problems with Mike’s beliefs, not the man.

I will say this. It makes more sense for a “Christian” governor to ask fellow believers to donate money to feed the illegals than to compel the taxpayer to do so. Charity should not be compeled. However, I entire government is compeled charity....so I don’t see the real beef. You may as well hate someone in authority for signing any legislation that provides welfare (charity) to the populace....see how far that attitude will get you?

Bottom line is that Huckabee has faults, as do all candidates; he is most probably NOT the best candidate for POTUS. However, this “Huck Hate” is just plain silly at times and those that push it scary. Those that scream “nanny state” too much as just libertarians that don’t count either; they ARE NOT conservatives. Vote for someone else.....but it is really time to can the Huck Hate. Personally, I don’t like that he didn’t speak out forceably against repealing DADT.....that scares me about Mike. However, Sarah Palin didn’t either??? Only minor contenders did like Bachman and Santorum.

I am anti-Christian because I disagree with giving public benefits to illegal aliens?

The duty of Government is not to fulfill peoples Christian obligations to charity- and Mike Huckabee is an idiot if he thinks that is the proper role of government.

Render unto Caesar that which is Caesars and render unto the Lord that which is the Lords.

Hucabee would have it that we render unto Caesar that which is Caesars, and Caesar will render unto the Lord on our behalf.

The guy is an absolute moron who talked about the difficulty in defeating an incumbent President and then listed how rare it was and how long ago it was that it happened, completely IGNORANT of the electoral defeat of INCUMBENT George H.W. Bush.

Too stupid to know any better and too egotistical to realize he is out of his depths and should really LOOK IT UP.
