"Indian warships sank yet another "pirate mother ship" "

I'm sure that 0 and H! have a much smarter and more effective strategery.

I love the writing in Indian newspapers. A mixture of upperclass Britishisms and 1930’s hepcat slang.

Well! No handwringing about “international law” here!

Let’s hope they wind this up with a nice mass hanging.

Now, that’s how it’s done!!!!

Kill’em all, then go to where they came from, and kill everyone there too!

Someone needed to step up, and it is India's sphere of influence, they have chosen to lead and Zer0 has chosen to bow.

My wild guess is there’s going to be a lot fewer pirates lurking around Indian waters.

We’ve become such wusses. Let’s hope we won’t get into a war with a serious enemy anytime soon.

But...but...the Muslims will be so pissed since Somali pirates are almost 100% Muslim.

"...pirates, who had earlier made abortive bids to attack two merchant vessels MSC Eva..."

Wait, the pirates attacked an Eva? And they're still alive?

Seriously though, it is nice to see *someone* stepping up. Wasn't the traditional punishment for piracy to be hanged by the neck until dead? And then displayed prominently for other pirates to see?

Indian Navy sinks ship, nabs 16 pirates

Nab? Why nab them? You sank their ship, that ought to be enough. Why bother bringing them aboard your ship?

They need to bring back keelhauling. On a nice barnacle infested boat... no, ship... while underway.

then returned limited fire, which disabled Morteza. Soon afterwards, people were seen abandoning it,”

No pirates should be pulled from the water .

Vessels should have supplies of blood and offal on board that
they chum the water with and then stand off and enjoy the show .

This tactic should be widely publicized in Somalia,
that this is the potential fate that awaits them all.

No ‘rescues’ , no trials and incarceration .
Just grizzly death in the tearing jaws of very excited sharks

I wonder if Obama gave the Indians $2 billion to take over the pirate ships??? We all know “HE” will take credit for it.

There are at least three posts glossing over the fact that in almost every event there are captives rescued with the pirates. I heartily approve of their present method of figuring out who’s who in the pirate scheme of things, and doing something about it. The next step would be to cruise into the prime Somali Pirate ports and rescue the many ships and sailors held captive.

At present, India has done far more than we, to inhibit piracy on the high seas, even though our citizens have been attacked and murdered by pirates in the region.
