It does say Aspergerâs in the article. My point was that anyone might act a bit strange, if they were forced to spend all their time with people (on average) 80 IQ points less intelligent then them. Consider that people, with an IQ 60 points below average, generally need to live in an assisted-living facility.
Yes! It is amazing!
Reminds me of very well learned pastor/minister when asked: “Do you believe in the ‘Big Bang Theory?’(meaning, how the world began).
Th P/M answered: “I understand that is how it is going to end!”
Another about a little girl when asked: “Which came first, the chicken or the egg?”
Her answer: “The Chicken of course! God did not make any eggs!”
Me neither. Why do I like them? When I hear them today I can almost smell my 57 Chev.
His train of thought is interesting. Conventional thinking is that atoms only formed when the universe’s temperature had cooled enough that the strong force could bind quarks together to form protons. But by the same logic, if the universe had that much energy density, why would those atoms not immediately fuze to heavier elements, blasting right up to and through fuzing iron, with the universe’s cooling quickly becoming driven by the energy loss from fuzing the very heavy elements?
Sigh...
I still have problems with fractions. Always hated math.
he’s spontaneously doing math that most math PhD’s would have a hard time understanding. Use whatever word you want (unique talent, genius, gift ...), I would not call it strange behavior.
No doubt that Mozart was a bit odd as a youngster. Mathematicians tend to be even odder than composers.
Don’t eat any Mellow Yellow snow!
My old friend Mel Aiello used to sing that song all the time.
I always liked The Allman brothers version, too.
Yeah... that’s exactly what I was thinking.
Sounds like a variation of the well-known baryon asymmetry problem.
Never heard of such a thing, but lived with it forever.
Thought it was a normal thing.
The aether that didn’t exist has been replaced by the quantum noise that does exist.
Same way the theory of continental drift which was totally impossible according to most has been replaced by plate tectonics that makes sense.
Yeah, but what about Lorentz IQ?
What makes so many presume that the IQ of such men could be accurately gauged?
Wavy Gravy will be glad to learn the brown acid didn't permanently fry you..
“Even after 40+ years of listening to Donovans songs, I still dont understand them.”
This is not an advocacy statement......but, you have to be stoned to understand his lyrics.....maybe.
Asperger’s is a form of autism. It is high functioning form. Most who have it are very, very smart. They are also socially awkward. They have trouble understanding body language, facial expresssions and common phrases like “madder than a wet hen” They will ask why would a hen be wet? Will that make them mad? Why would you make a hen mad?” ALso motor skills are slightly impaired. You can see it when they run. Many are also highly sensitive to certain stimulus like noise, taste, touch, etc.
I knew a very smart guy that used to know a lot of the top bands, back in the day, like the Stones, Zeppelin...etc.,
His contention was the oddest people on the planet were........drummers.
I'm just saying......!!
