We learned all we need to know about Islam on 9-11.
There may be some moderate Muslim immigrants to the US who will integrate into our society and practice their religion in a way that does not compel them to disdain and persecute other religions should Islam become the majority religion in an area or nation state. If so, they are welcome wherever they decide to settle.
I fear that most of the Dearborn, MI Muslims tend to practice the more intolerant and repressive form that we term radical Islamists or Salafism or Wahhabi movement. The head scarves and covered arms and legs on their women are a tipoff.
Dearborn is becoming the US base of the One World Caliphate, the system of government established in Islam, representing the political unity of the Muslim Ummah (nation), with a system of law which is called Sharia, in which non Muslims are second class citizens subject to repression and even death should they be accused of insulting Islam. These beliefs are not compatible with our present American society of acting together and respecting religious and other differences.

I agree. The Arabs in Dearborn are a mixed lot. Many very nice people, not all Muslim. Many good middle eastern restaurants in Dearborn and lots of terrific pastry shops. I get friendly treatment all up and down Warren Ave.

The Chaldeans are up here in Sterling Heights and avoid Dearborn as much as they can. The largest Chaldean Church in MI is in Rochester.
Hellsbells, ever go to the Arab International Festival? You don’t see any Arab women uncovered. Come up to Warren and Sterling Heights. It’s rare to see Arab women in headscarves. There may be a small community down there, but THE MAJORITY are Muslim.
Except for the Hamas and Hezbolla stands at the Arab International Festival, right?

The arm being held down and run over is his left arm. The arm in the picture showing how enthused this boy was to have his arm held down and run over if his right arm.

I don’t care if they think I’m an infidel. Actually, to some of them, I am. To most, though, I’m just another customer.
I grew up in Dearborn and I’ve never had a problem with most of the Arab people there. In fact, most of them are pretty sweet.
The funny thing is that Arabs in Detroit are considered (and often act) white. This is not the case of the Arabs in New York or New Jersey.

Who was the author of this article? If they aren’t flat out lying, then they are certainly not familiar enough with Dearborn to be objective in the reporting.
Dearborn is like two cities, divided by a 4 lane highway. east is very Arabic and west is very working class white. The reason that the west is not losign population is because of the influx of residents from Detroit. The east may very well be backfilling vacancies with Arabic people, but I can for a fact state that the vacancies on the west are being backfilled with Detroiters (or other worse areas residents moving West Dearborn.)
