The city of Dearborn is nationally known as the home of Ford Motor Co., the Henry Ford museum and one of the country's most concentrated Middle Eastern communities. Now it can boast of bucking a trend that saw Detroit and most other surrounding communities lose population.
According to research by the Detroit Arab American Study Team, more than 60 percent of students in Dearborn's public schools are Arab-American.
Dearborn is instantly recognizable as a Middle Eastern hub, with its national Arab-American museum and many Arabic-signed businesses and mosques. One Islamic house of worship in the city -- strategically built near a sprawling, historic Ford plant -- is more than 70 years old.
That sustained history helps explain why people from the Arab world continue to come to Dearborn, even as many other ethnic enclaves in the city and elsewhere have moved on or died out.
State demographer Ken Darga said Dearborn's numbers offer some encouragement for the community in an area that has been hammered by a long, painful economic slump.
"It's a bit of positive news in an area where there isn't very positive news," he said.

“Part of it is Arab-Americans are family oriented,” said Warren David, founder and publisher of ArabDetroit.com, owner of a Dearborn-based public relations and marketing firm and third-generation Arab-American. “There’s a sense of culture and family — that’s so important in the Arab model. .... They want to live near relatives, they want to interact.”
Dearborn is a sh*thole just like the Middle East, no wonder the inbred goat-herders like it.
Nationally known for the Henry Ford Museum and instantly recognizable as a Middle Eastern hub, with its national Arab-American museum. I know what kind of exibits one would find in a car museum. And I have an idea what exibits one would find in an Arab museum. But what the hell would be in an Arab-AMERICAN museum?

You may have something against Catholics too - but many Arab-Americans in Dearborn are Catholic, Chaldeans, not Muslim.
They’re American dream is to own their own business, hence they own party stores and gas stations in high crime areas, the only places with a low enough entry point for immigrants often. Their sons and daughters become engineers, many working at Ford and then-Chrysler.
And I aint one of them, but was most impressed with those I got to know.
In this way, like the Copts in Egypt, are the Caldeans from Iraq.
Goat herders? Farmers, plumbers, adminsitrators. Are you a pencil sucker or a kneepad suit-supporter for your occupation - are you’re a whore too to feed your family or an honest worker too?
This is what happens when Liberals are in charge, as they have been in Dearborn since the 50’s.
Dearborn is on it’s way to become known as terror central for the US and Canada.
They just keep letting this crap in this country,these people hate us and are creating their own country here.
And more ILLEGAL Mexicans.
Think of it this way. Pretty soon, whitey will be in the minority and we can get all of the goodies that minorities enjoy!
