He lamented that we always leave one more war to be fought. And I agree, If we would be willing to win, then we could end wars.

Actually you would live in a state of continual war.

Because in every war you can find that you have started the seeds for the next war. And if you fight that war you have started the seeds for the next and if you fight that you have started the seeds for the next...

Patton liked war. So for him this was fine. Not so good for the rest of us.

And of course, he was wrong. Sometimes later wars grow out of former but sometimes they don't.

I disagree. If we would have went to war with Russian at the end of world war 2 we could have prevented a lot of suffering. If we would have went to war with China over Chorea we would have prevented a lot of suffering.
