Romney, Palin would tie if Huckabee does not run

PRINCETON, NJ -- Mike Huckabee tops a large list of potential GOP presidential candidates in current support for the party's 2012 nomination, with 19% of Republicans saying they are most likely to back him. This gives Huckabee a slight edge over Mitt Romney (15%). Sarah Palin is now at 12% after receiving 16% support in three prior Gallup polls. Newt Gingrich is the only other potential candidate who registers double-digit support. Sixteen percent of Republicans currently have no preference

It's interesting that no one seems to be able to really break out.

LEST WE FORGET!!

Christians—Beware Of Mike Huckabee

Phyllis Schlafly herself was even more direct. The President and Founder of Eagle Forum said this about Governor Huckabee: “He destroyed the conservative movement in Arkansas, and left the Republican Party a shambles.”

It’s also interesting that Mrs. Palin always seems to be trailing both Huckabee and Romney. Of course, my preference is barely a blip on the screen. The top names are simply the names people recognize.

It’s interesting that no one has said, “I’m running for President of the United States”.

That Huckabee is a crafty son-of-a-gun. People shouldn’t underestimate him.

Elmer Gantry is a socialist fraud, and Willard is a worthless turd who provided the template for Obamacare. Tiny Tim is as big of an empty suit as Fidel Hussein Obama, and Newtie Tootie is a callous adulterer and a global-warming-hoax-pushing RINO

If any of these imbeciles gets the nomination I’m staying home election day.

If the GOP runs a RINO like Huckabee, I am 3rd party from here on out, PERIOD!

Quit wasting your time; neither Huck nor Palin are in this race.

I see this as people needing a new and refreshing candidate.

This opens the door for a dark horse to steal the show.

I’ve got the sinking feeling that Jeb is going to be that “dark horse.”

Palin is going to suck the air out of this game. Between now and then, this is just more garbage for the libs, RINO’s and PDS’ers pus filled heads.

Huck? Blech.

Donald Trump has a LOT of negatives...but I’d take him over just about anyone but Herman Cain or maybe Mitch Daniels. I also think he could win the general and as long as he agrees to just leave the social issues to the party line, I think he could do a good job.

Total BS Gallup poll.

Huckabee won’t get the nomination. Forget about NittWitt Mitt, EVER.

Why bloody a good candidate this far from the primary.

If the East Coast Blue Blood Pubbies try to force Mitt, it will be the destruction of the Republican Party. That is why the left wants that. Forget Mitt.

The RINOs are bound and determined to force Conservatives to hold their collective noses - again. Not this time; not for me. We are seeing the dissolution of the Republican Party before our very eyes.

The 2010 election was about cutting - spending, size of government, DeathCare - and so far, the GOP has shown why we threw them out the first time. Even with Mike Pence; even with Michelle Backman and even with all the TEA Party electees, it is STILL politics as usual.

"This opens the door for a dark horse to steal the show."

I think that's a possibility, even a likely possibility. Where that becomes less likely is if Huckabee, Romney and Palin all officially enter the race. I don't see any of them pulling away from each other.

If they all three get in, I think we could see the first brokered convention in decades. What a mess that would be.
