This did not make the news, but it fits in with other stories that at least were barely reported on. I will tell it as I was told it.
I was at my local branch of Chase today making some transactions. I have a number of accounts, and therefore know a few of the folks there. I asked the teller in passing if they had heard the news about SEIUs Stephen Lerners plan for an orchestrated union and community organizer action against Chase in May, with the hopes of precipitating a financial meltdown and national anarchy. Several other tellers also heard my question, and they all said that they had not heard about it, but that they they had undergone an attack or protest by SEIU at their branch last Friday.
I later went to talk to one of the senior persons about another matter, and she asked what I was talking with the tellers about that created so much discussion. When I told her, she gave the details of the SEIU action. A week ago she received a call from a person to warn her that SEIU would be showing up to force their way into the branch and get the manager the next day, in protest for Chase supposedly not paying their Washington State B&O tax (Business & Occupancy). The caller told the senior person the time they would show up, and that there would be similar actions at Chase branches throughout the county and some surrounding towns. The caller stated that they would charge in and occupy the branch, and that they planned to have to be dragged out by police.
The next day (last Friday) van-loads of what she described as really despicable people - like a crowd on a Jerry Springer Show, wearing purple, logod SEIU shirts, and carrying crudely made signs, assembled outside and made a rush for the front door. It had just been locked, fortunately, by a security guard they had called in, just in case the warning from the day before was real. Several of the protesters tried to force their way through the door by breaking it down, but were unsuccessful. They were described by the woman as vicious, and they stayed quite some time screaming angry and intimidating/threatening taunts at the staff inside, especially at the senior woman who was photographing them through the glass door. Police had been called right away, but never showed.
I did not find out if the protests at other branches ever materialized. When I asked if it was ever reported in the news, I was told it was not. I got the impression, though she never came right out and said it definitively, that she suspected there were people there to photograph the police hauling the protesters out of the bank, but that such possible media types chose not to have the event make the news because it didnt go the way they were hoping.
Anyone else hear of such tactics elsewhere?
“Im still smelling something funny here.”
The SEIU Marxist army of thugs are let’s say like lighting spot fires in numerous locations for the purpose of establishing a false fact that the people want the change the Socialists are orchestrating. Each spot fire represents allegedly American dissatisfaction with “the system”.
The MSM, the media will spin in their favor, and American’s will nod their heads, and stand on the beach in silent bewilderment watching the Tsunami as it washes over them, and smashes them into the rocky beach.
This is the plan. Worldwide create a false movement. What’s false is that it’s for Democracy. Marxists, and Islamic Jihadists working together as both have similar goals, and together they stand a chance of success.
They have the pot of water, and the fire. We are the biggest, and most essential frog for their pot of water over that fire.
Clearly you are not a victim of their promotional APR scheme.
Don’t be.
I had an APR of around 10-13% with them, and took advantage of a 0% APR on convenience checks for 12 months to pay off a large balance...
But as soon as a single payment went just 1-2 days late, they jacked up all my rates well over 18% on top of the late fees and cancellation of the promotional APR.
They will do everything they can to encourage consolidation of debt with them at low rates... but God help you if you go even a day late on payment.
When there is a police union, it is not necessary that individual police be in political/ideological agreement with the union.
It is only necessary that the individual officers understand that it is the union that will protect their jobs if there is any issue with their jobs (officer-involved shooting, excessive force charge, etc), and that this protection is conditional upon the officer not pissing off the union hierarchy. As such, it sets up a potential dual command structure (union vs official police command), which is a very bad idea.
The woman said the caller sounded young, and not too bright, and sounded like someone just rounded up to be part of the action whose heart wasn’t in it. A first name was disclosed, and of course caller ID recorded the phone number, but no LEOs came by to conduct an investigation, so that person was not tracked down, apparently, and no one, as far as I know, has asked the woman for her video of the mob outside the door for identification purposes either.
“Ive got $2 with Chase. If those #ers put my $2 at risk, theyre gonna pay.”
I think you’re ok. I already got your $2 when I cashed a check at Chase yesterday: they gave me a two dollar bill, those bastards. I pawned the bill off on my State Farm agent when I paid my insurance. He’ll deposit that two dollar bill, and then it’ll get pawned off on the next sucker.

This is not surprising since there is really no crime here. A bank branch while private property is open to the public so until the manager asks them to leave a mob is free to enter. At best its a trespassing charge if they refuse. What crime was committed in trying to enter the bank? None. Making a scene on the sidewalk outside? Disturbing the peace at best. Those who advocate shooting people in the mob would be in prison for decades or at least bankrupted in legal fees.
You may have discovered a way of sriking back at SEIU.
Most businesses are very politically unaware.
When word comes out that SEIU is targeting them, simply contact the local offices (not the corporate) and ask them to be on-guard.
Mob protest dies, the business thanks the Tea Party Movement and if we are lucky, SEIU nazi’s end up in jail.
Hey, they've got a union too, and were acting in solidarity! Should be a cause for lawsuit action against the police, but that just leaves the taxpayers at risk of having to pay off a judgement against them.
The only thing left is to go after the INDIVIDUAL(S) within the department who caused the non-response, be it the dispatcher, the responding patrolmen, the supervisors, or the chief. But good luck finding that out; they'll all cover for each other.
Note that if there is a FReeper cop out there to correct me, I'd love to be wrong!
That's the beauty of automatic payments; you never are late or forget one.
I am making every effort I can to avoid doing any business with companies that use union labor.
Since TSA has been allowed to become a unionized operation, I have cut way back on my flying. You can really tell the unionized mentality of the TSA now. Count the number of TSA employees standing around doing nothing.
I am also trying to support companies that are under attack. I just moved some accounts to JP Morgan Chase and told the branch manager why I was doing it.

yeah... tried that too... I’m sure it’s fine if your well off enough that your not living paycheck to paycheck.
I would rather write a check when I know the money is available.
We need to call it what it is.
Very interesting, thanks for your post.
I just read that there was going to be organized protests in London tomorrow against tax dodgers and banks. Don’t have the details, but, it sounds somewhat similar. First saw this protest info on movements.org (the state departments sponsored youth alliance org).

London tomorrow:
From 2pm flash mobs, bail-ins and occupations will shut down the dozens of banks and tax dodgers along the length of Europes biggest shopping street.
And at 3.30pm, after the dispersed actions, there will be a massive final convergence, ready for a spectacular mass occupation of a secret target.

Well, if that’s your payment strategy, and you didn’t read the fine print, I can see how you are not going to like the self-generated consequences.
Probably best in such a situation to simply avoid those evil banks, and live under a bridge saving your $ in a paper bag until you can afford to buy a house outright for cash. Or maybe some of the compassionate folks at SEIU or other organized crime confederates can redistribute some of their wealth to you in a home loan - one with their own unique brand of repayment conditions and penalties.
No... YOU are the problem here bud.
This kind of crap from you is not tolerated on FR.
