Last night I posted a prayer request for my co-worker and friend Shane Sterrett..here is what was posted:
"Shane Sterrett is a fellow co-worker and friend to all of us at my company I work for. His desk is 2 spots next to mine...a huge Kansas Jayhawk fan...Shane has been off and on with his battle with Leukemia over the last 2 years coming and going back to work through out.
His desk had remained untouched the entire time and never was touched until this afternoon when boxes were brought to it and packed. He is married with young daughters who think the world of him.
He had a bone marrow transplant about 8 weeks ago and things were looking up until Saturday when things drastically took a sudden turn for the worst. A massive infection broke out in his lungs and a fungus traveled through out his immune system into his brain, kidney, and now his liver.
The fight has been declared over and the decision has been made to pull the plug tomorrow morning.
A prayer tonight for an individual who was loved by many and fought the good fight until he physically could do no more. A prayer for mercy and a painless passing.
Amen."
Here is the news from over night, this morning, and this afternoon.
The family was set to say good-bye's and final visits from friends this morning before the breathing machine's were to be shut down.
Around 11:30 last night...Shane began to communicate a bit and doctors moved his condition to Grave to Critical Guarded. Said that chances had gone from 10% to 30% for survival of the next 24 hours.
This morning as of 11 am Shane's condition scale was brought up to 40%. Certain cocktails of different drugs are starting to fight the fungus and prevent destruction of the liver.
We might be witnessing a miracle in the making folks. The decision to take him off the respirator has been called off...Shane is still very much here and FIGHTING.
Keep the prayers coming everyone! The response last night was great...the family's spirits have gone up and down as high and low as one could go in the span of the last 5 days.
We are on the verge of a comeback that nobody...even the family expected yesterday at this time.
Come on God...let's make this happen!
Praise God, thank you Papa for complete and total healing, give the doctors and everyone else caring for him wisdom. Thank you Jesus, Amen!!!

Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great
and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”
Look to Jesus as a Life saver, delighting to bless and heal you.
Believe that God’s abundance of life is for you and that you may have it by believing
and continuing to believe.
Know that it is God’s will to heal not only others but also you. Healing is in the
Atonement; therefore, it includes all.
Remember that healing begins within. You reach God and He reached you through
your inner man.
Know that the only way you can overcome fear is through your faith in God.
Use a point of contact for the release of your faith.
Prayers up, double time!
He can do it!
Our Father,
We love you and we exalt Your mighty and awesome Name!!! You are the Source of all healing and it is Your desire and good pleasure to heal! We praise You, Father, for Shane’s restoration and we confess that You who have begun it will be faithful to complete it. Thank You, our God of grace and mercy. Thank You, Precious Lord. May Your good work continue and may this family take hold of Your Word for the sake of their beloved one and proclaim the truth of Your promises. We stand strong on the foundation of healing that was provided for all those who believe in the Name of Jesus Christ. We commit this precious young father to You and rejoice in all that You have done and all that You will do. Blessed is the Holy Name of the Lord. May the Name of Jesus be glorified in Shane’s life. All honor, glory, praise, and blessing be unto You, our King. In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Like the shadow on Hezekiah’s stairs, Lord, we ask for more time to help Shane’s body fight this massive infection.
For one reason, Lord—that You and Your Name would be magnified in all the earth.
Praise Your Name, Lord of hosts!
Pour Your healing on Shane and his family. Give his doctors wisdom and determination.
You have numbered our days, Lord. You know the number of hairs on our head. We bind this disease in Your name, that its destruction would be stopped and reversed.
You are God alone. Praise Your Name!
