It's the people who have a basket that clearly has more than 15 items who then proceed to have the contents rang up as two separate orders.
And then write two checks. Arghhhh ...
does behavior like this - unmitigated callous disregard for social order - seem to have become more prevalent since the Immaculation of Lord Hopenchange?
I associate it with the passing of the 1964 (un)Civil Rights Act. It unleashed the greatest crime wave this country has ever seen.

I’ve been to that particular Burger King. We stay at a condo about a mile east of there two weeks a year. We always avoid Spring Break.

"Had I been behind the counter, and she had hit me with something, and had I been in fear of further great bodily harm or death, CCW and Glock." 2 things about your post:
Number 1, That is really freaking extreme...
and 2, I like the way you think ;)

Is it extreme to use deadly physical force to defend myself against an attack from an instigator who is using deadly or potentially deadly physical force against me?

No. That was a tongue in cheek response meant for the Burger King situation specifically.
Not extreme at all when life is threatened...I know you said that, I was just kidding around. No offense meant.

In Detroit many blacks are fleeing for a pretty interesting reason, at least to me, but a majority refuse to admit it.Here in Atlanta, they had to change the name of the phenomenon from "White Flight" to "Bright Flight".

No problem. No offense taken.
Be well.

I could see this happening at the BK in my neighborhood....I live in downtown Oakland. The BK at 14th and Broadway is pretty quiet. There had been a lot of loiterers at the front some months ago, but they were mostly older folk. This shop has an on-site security guard, as does the KFC at 61st and Telegraph.
When I've visited the downtown Oakland BK (not often) I haven't seen anything rowdy or strange, other than some kid who paid for his meal with money taken out of his (basketball?) shoe.
If you want to see interesting characters, check out the Carl's Jr. at 5th and Eddy in San Francisco (just off of Market Street, near Union Square).

ABC had a show on called “Detroit 187” and in the season finale a Black Detective was putting in his papers and told the clerk
“I have been on the force so long that when I started most of those arrested were white”.....

In Asian cultures, as in many others, family connection is very strong and teaches to put others, particularly elders, before oneself. I remember my parents "counseling" about something that I had done bringing shame on the family. While I didn't mind getting in trouble for my misdeed the idea that I had shamed the family was horrible to me. We have lost the family connections and the concept of shame in this country.

In my humble opinion this is only going to get worse and worse until we finally take steps to stop this kind of thing the old school way that worked for thousands of years.
Take this b*tch out behind the courthouse, strap her between two supports and give her 5 hard lashes. When they are done they post it on YouTube for everyone to see, then look her in the eyes and tell her deadfaced that the next time she is brought in and found guilty of a similar crime it will be 20 lashes.
Its the only thing I can think of that will work with some people, they dont seem to fear any other punishment in use anymore.

Won’t happen anytime soon. But it sure felt good to read your solution —
