Easily the craziest poll result I've seen.

Right. Because the media know what we want better than we do.

In related news, over 3/4’s of the TEA Party can’t stand the loser.

People in TV land are desperately misinformed.

Do you agree with the tea party? check, I’m an American.

Do you like Mitt Romney? Heck sure, seems fine to me I’ve never heard anything bad about him, check.

Can you say mandatory health insurance?
Can you say biggest public works mess in American history?
Can you say gun control?
Can you say abortion-on-demand?
Can you say homosexual marriage?
...Can you say RINO?

If the choice is Mitt vs. Obama in the general, then yes, Mitt is this tea partier’s “favorite.” As for the primary, right now, not by a long shot.

I don’t have the vitriol that some at FR do for Mitt. I do like his private business experience, and that to me puts him light years ahead of The One. Right now though, he does not have my vote in the primary.

Of course another way to interpret those results is that 3 out of 4 don't want him. With a field that fragmented, 25% is hardly "favorite" status.

Dear Lord, please don't make us have to choke down another excrement sandwich.

“Anyone who’s studied elementary statistics...”

I took it twice in college (same class but you get the idea). I remember only two things about statistics: the house always wins and you can create the outcome of any poll by simply arranging the questions in a specific way.

“Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, long considered the tea party’s 2012 candidate-in-waiting, took just 12 percent — another piece of evidence that the 2008 vice presidential nominee’s support is fading even among members of her own party.”

‘Another piece of evidence’? Nah, no bias there. I think there’s more P.U. in this poll than Pew.

What’s wrong with this article? In the past the RINO’s in the Republican Party always told us who we were to worship.

Has something changed? Could it be that conservatives actually have had enough of being told who they will vote for?

As far as I am concerned, the Republican Party is finished and the cancer that infects it cannot be removed...it is too entrenched and advanced by the lifetime politicians.

It’s time to start over and the timing now cannot be any better simply because if we don’t (and keep these same old lifers and RINOs in office) our freedoms and customs will be gone within the next 6 years.

It’s all or none. No other choice available thanks to the Republican Party and their blind elegance to their “anoited” dynasties that have ruined our country.

He’s exactly what the libs want . . . another “Dole,” “McLame,” and nothing else. It’s “HIS TURN.”

I’m sick of it! We have to get beyond the “American Idol” mentality of picking someone because they’re “straight from casting.”

We have to get Obambi the hell out of our White House. We can’t do it with a hand-picked bozo from the dems.

Milt Romney has a long history of fake polls,
fake endorsements, and here are four:

Typical Romney falsehood: "I also was pleased to have the support of the NRA when I ran for governor."

Typical Romney falsehood: "I told you what my position was, and what I, what I did as governor; the fact that I received the endorsement of the NRA."

The truth:

Romney: "“That’s not going to make me the hero of the NRA
Boston Herald (1994)

Romney: " “I don’t line up with the NRA.
Boston Globe, January 14, 2007

More Truth about Romney faking endorsements:

"Behind the empty gestures and deceptive rhetoric, Romney was not pro-life
or a defender of marriage by any stretch of the imagination.
He was a disaster," said O'Gorman, of the board for Massachusetts Citizens for Life.
He said Romney "deceptively" claims to have been awarded
a pro-life award from the group.

"The award Romney arranged for himself with the local Pioneer Valley Chapter
was the Mullins Award for Political Leadership, not a pro-life award
and not approved by MCFL's state board of directors," he said.
"We're blowing the whistle to warn voters…
"

[Family leaders call Romney 'disaster' - Letter criticizes 'deceptive rhetoric' around candidate]

Myth Romney, plagiarist, taking credit for Duncan Hunter's fence, without attribution.

Milt Romney – the Magic RINO:
"I'm not running as the Republican view
or a continuation of Republican values.
That's not what brings me to the race.

(Romney Video, accessed 9/19/07)

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party
over to the traitors in the battle just ended.
We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged
to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support.
Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates
wouldn’t make any sense at all.""
