It was also used during the last primary season, here. Back then, there were people wishing and wishing that some GREAT CONSERVATIVE HOPE would suddenly appear and save us all from having to vote from McCain/Romney/Huckabee/just fill in the blank. That super hero never materialized and that person isn't about to this time around, either.
