I don’t care if it didn’t score political points among the shallow minded.

Stepping down was right for Alaska and for Palin’s family. As with all other decisions Palin makes, she simply did what was right.

Chappaquiddick, schmappaquidick. Palin is apolitical. Paradoxically, this quality is a tremendous political strength.

btw...name calling and SHOUTING are for the schoolyard.|

So is asking someone else to do your own work for you. You're (presumably) a big boy and a freeper who knows how to use search.

Stop being a coward and answer the question. Do you think the site owner would support someone who supports amnesty of any kind?

Hey 2DV and Onyx, you got some bookmarked threads of Palin saying ‘No Amnesty’ in the past year? Could you please post them for this moron so he can discount them anyway?

I’ve got an idea: Why don’t we have some primaries and caucuses and see who wins them... She sure does scare a ton of people for someone who has absolutely no chance of winning the nomination or presidency. If she was a Ron Paul, Ross Perot, Andy Martin, Ralph Nader, John Hagelin or Lyndon LaRouche, everyone would ignore her, instead, she’s all anyone can talk about:

“A: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America...”

And this proves what?

My Paternal Grandfather, a LEGAL immigrant, obviously wanted to be in America....and I’m sure that I, you, and Sarah Palin would understand why.....so your point is what?

Grandpa immigrated legally to the US ie “followed the law” just as Sarah says she supports....

Wanna try again?

"I don't know why she quit as governor."

She quit because she loves Alaska.

Shouldn’t you be renting a blimp and organizing a money bomb for somebody?

The only thing I question is why she would want to do this thankless job. She will have to fight tooth and nail to make the basic changes that will take a generation to see results.

Should Palin seek the presidency, it'll be because she thinks she needs, not wants, to run. As far as changes made, that is why we need to send a slew of tea party minded people to the congresses in 2012. A lot can be done IF we garner enough power. Electing Sarah Palin is key, however. There isn't another candidate that has the guts to take on the establishment.

‘Even on Free Republic, anybody that dared to say anything worrisome about their object of adoration was shouted down as a “RINO” ‘

So you approve of Pissant’s last post — since you have just described the reaction to him?

If 10 or 20 conservative FReepers/Lurkers would run for congress, I’ll try to raise $100,000 for each, in addition to the $2 million I’m raising for Gov. Palin. If you have an interest or know someone who should run (could be a friend, relative, someone at church/temple, co-worker, etc. ... not necessarily someone here) FReepmail me.

I can't speak for Polybius, but I certainly did not approve of Pissant's final post. Despite the fact that I've been for a decade, sometimes a little tipsy, taking Lortab for a dislocated shoulder and various scenarios where I might not have been in the best frame of mind, I've never stooped that low. Unfortunately, Pissant's behavior is being used to broad-brush anyone who is not postively pro-Palin.

Hell, I get called a PDSer with regularity, and I don't think that I've ever truly disparaged the woman. I just question her qualifications, but that's enough for many to start flaming in my direction.

You have got to understand that if you lump all Palin supporters (and learners, like me) into one group, Palin opposers will be similarly lumped into one group.

Seriously, were you fine with the way Sarah handled the Gibson and Kouric interviews?

============================================================

Yes, she did a great job, you should go listen to the whole interview.

You are listening to the media say she did a bad job, it's pure bull! They don't let you see the whole clips because in light of the little that she slipped, they don't want you to see the whole thing, making a person think all she does is mess up!

I did the best I could to find whole parts!

Yes, she may have had very legitimate reasons for quitting and she had every right to do what she did. But nobody I have talked to conservative or liberal thinks that quitting was a good move politically. She is definitely a force to be reckoned with and as with and as time goes on is becoming a more polished politician. I will wait to hear from all of the other potential candidates. I have learned from experience that it is a mistake to put all my hopes in one candidate. Lets wait to hear from all of them before making our decision.

Nice try, taking only part of her quote...the part that is meaningless.

The fact (let me repeat that - the fact) is that she has repeatedly called for a path to citizenship when asked directly about illegal immigrants.

When pushed by BOR (the bastard, asking her hard questions!)she modified it to 'let's have them register if they want to stay here'. This was after she tried to duck the question and he would not let her.

You may be impressed but I'm not. And it is telling that you have to spin and edit her own words to maintain your position.

Sorry, but making a statemet, as you did, and then asking that somebody else prove it for you, as you did, is asking somebody else to do your work for you. I provided the source for my statement.

And, repeatedly calling me names not only violates the rules of this board but reduces the tone to that of the schoolyard. Have a nice day.
