Four branches of the military have begun sending training material to 2.2 million active and reserve troops as a prelude to opening the ranks to gays, with instructions on, for example, what to do if an officer sees two male Marines kissing in a shopping mall.

Key themes are that sexual orientation will no longer be a bar to service, that all service members must respect each other, and that the partners of gay troops will not receive the benefits of heterosexual spouses.

“We are going to make [gay ban] repeal training expeditiously,” said Maj. Joel Harper, an Air Force spokesman at the Pentagon. “It’s great training.”

I remember doing a float one time and there was this little filipino chief petty officer of the mess deck. He was as flaming as could be. I saw him at a liberty port once with super duper tight jeans on and his shirt tied off to the side of his waist showing his navel. You know what, no one bothered him (from what I could tell) and he didn't advertise it enough to come to the attention of the officers or make waves I suppose. Everything was okay. Why do we need this? I can tell you that this will not go over well in the Marine Corps. I remember the staff nco meetings we had during the implementation of don't ask don't tell. It was not pretty and this is way worse.

Between airborne school and ranger school, I did RIP—Ranger Indoctrination Program. My senior drill instructor, SFC Wright (The Devil Himself), turned out to be my senior RIP instructor. We had a guy who’d barely passed jump school and was having trouble in RIP. Wright confronted him one day and said, “You’re not a faggot, are you, son? ‘Cause faggots don’t become Rangers.” He dropped RIP the next day.

No doubt about it. It's also the further agenda of making the "Gay" lifestyle normal and not the deviancy it is. To me, it's like a guy who cheats on his wife. I don't want to see him prosecuted by the law or ostracized by society. However, I do want to see that people see it for what it is. A sexual deviancy that should not be emulated. I can still remember my Grandma saying, "When I was young, being gay meant you were happy"..
