Ebonomics
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
And I would be that if you investigated those 737 denied raises, they are probably those who under major indictment, or charged with rape, murder, or something equally as serious.
Wow!!! Now that just goes to show you that THE HIGHEST caliber, highest performing, highest level of selfless service in the entire country can be found in the public sector!!! More amazing than even these statistics is that evidently I have personally come in contact with the majority of the 737 poor performers in the few Govt. offices that I visit on a regular basis...what are the odds of that?!?!!??
were denied a regularly scheduled step increase
You better have a dang good reason to stop a regularly scheduled raise which is only once every two years. Normally it is only a couple hundred dollars anyway and by the time you take out taxes, they might end up with 30 bucks a pay check. Let’s not act like they are getting 10 million like the CEOs of big corporations are getting even with the layoffs (which I guess they do so they get the big bonus’).
Wow! How bad were those 737 that they couldn’t even get a government raise!
no wonder they are paid so much. They are all top performers
Those 737 must have been really, really, really bad.
How many of them received bonuses and then had a Desk-Audit to move to a higher GS Grade?
Why is this issue debateable?
In the private sector, There is no such thing as "step increases" or "longevity raises."
Why should the public employees "demand" those? The reward for satisfactorily doing your job, is you get to keep it.
If you can't do satisfactory, you get to look for a new job.
It works in the private sector. If you are worth what you think you are, finding a better job should be a slam dunk.
I can't think of a defensible reason why it should not apply to the public sector as well.
