Reporting from San Salvador and Washington— President Obama may hasten his return to Washington as the U.S.-led military strike against Libya increasingly distracts from his Latin America trip.
As Air Force One touched down in El Salvador on Tuesday afternoon, the White House announced changes to the president's itinerary. A visit planned for Wednesday to the Metropolitan Cathedral in San Salvador, where slain Archbishop Oscar Romero is buried, was shifted to Tuesday. Obama was also scheduled Wednesday to tour Mayan ruins one hour outside the capital city, but it is now unclear whether he would do so.
Obama is set to hold a bilateral meeting with President Mauricio Funes of El Salvador on Tuesday, followed by a joint news conference. Funes hosts the president and first lady for an official dinner Tuesday night. Obama was scheduled to return to Washington on Wednesday evening.

I flipped o’reilly on during a commercial just for a minute to get his take and sure enough, there he was giving obama a cheerleading boost. Thought the situation wasn’t thay serious and wouldn’t hurt him.

No doubt, I remember when Hillary was always flitting off to Europe for the weekend with Chelsea in tow to go shopping. And on Air Force Two, no less, while Bubba was hanging bac in Washington. No wonder Gore was dying to be president. One jet for him, the other for his wife. Let the VP take the “lowly” 737 for what he needs, nobody cares where he goes or what he does.
But Bush was always somehow giving his buddies freebies and making them rich, although no liberal could ever explain how. With Bush, it just WAS.
